Hey guys, it’s me, Sarah, the video editor
here at Wholesale Ted, and in this video, I’m going to explain to you three reasons
why people fail at AliExpress dropshipping and also tell you how you can avoid these
same mistakes. Most comments I received are lovely. I love it when I’ve been able to help someone,
comments like this make my day. But occasionally I’ll get a comment like this
from someone, who makes some bold claim that dropshipping doesn’t work. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to sit down
and analyze everybody’s store and figure out why they are failing at AliExpress dropshipping. But any time I do get the chance, I usually
find that most people are making at least one of these three major mistakes and these
mistakes are very costly. They can cost you thousands and thousands
of dollars in lost sales. So to find out what these big three mistakes
are that people make and how you can avoid them for yourself, keep watching this video. Mistake number one, not testing enough products. Sometimes I feel like I’m beating a bit of
a dead horse here, but usually when I ask people how many products they have tested,
they give me a very similar answer, almost always they’ve tested less than five products. Usually, they’ve tested maybe one or two. Well that really isn’t enough even if you’re
doing everything else right. Usually every about 20-ish products that you
test, you’ll find only one winner that will be making you several hundred dollars a day. Now of course, once you find that one winning
item, you’ll make back the money that you spent during that research process plus a
whole lot more. In my video collaboration I did with Aidan
Booth, he gives a lot of information in tip 6 about how he scales his research process
to test tons of products, which allows him to make over a million dollars a year with

below. Now here’s a thing most people won’t admit
this but what I found is that when most people test their first product, they have this little
bit inside of them that’s really hoping that this is going to be a success. The truth is, is that most people overestimate
their abilities and they kind of expect to be successful on their first try, and if you
do this, you really shouldn’t feel bad about it because it’s actually entirely normal. There’s a scientific name for this, I don’t
know if I’m going to pronounce it right, but it’s something like illusory superiority. It is a cognitive bias that means that people
tend to overestimate their own abilities and as a side effect of it and that it makes failure
more psychologically damaging. So when people’s first test product fails,
it’s a lot easier to blame the method rather than accept the fact that they simply haven’t
found the right product yet. And because of that, they give up and declare
that it doesn’t work. Well, what separates millionaire dropshippers
like Aidan Booth apart from the rest is that he does not overestimate his own abilities
and he embraces failure as a necessary pathway to success. So he’s willing to test lots of products and
he doesn’t get discouraged by ones that don’t succeed. Mistake number two, not creating producs listings
that convert. I once had a friend of mine show me his Shopify
store. Now it wasn’t a failure, he was making $50
to $100 a day, but he wanted to take it to the next level. So I took a look at the product pages and
I cringed inside. They were very, very sad product pages, that
had very little content and images on them, and when I asked him why he only had one or
two sentences for his product description, his answer was, “I simply don’t know what
else to write.” And you know what, I actually understand this. Oftentimes, when you find a product on AliExpress,
the product description at most will include a list of product specifications and sometimes
it won’t even include that. This can make it very hard to find the inspiration
to be able to write a great product listing. So here’s a quick hack for you. Head over to Amazon.com and see if the product
is currently listed there. Chances are people are trying to dropship
it on there too. Head over and read the product descriptions
people have written to get inspiration and ideas for your own listing. And here is another pro-tip that comes straight
from Amazon. They have found that the number one conversion
factor for a product listing is images. They have found that having a listing that
has five plus high quality images in its gallery is a crucial factor to creating a high converting
listing. They have also found that having the images
in high enough quality and big enough so that you can zoom in on them is also very important
when converting the sale. So when you’re looking for products to add
to your AliExpress dropshipping store, look for products that have a gallery with lots
of high quality, big images that you can use. Mistake number three, not doing remarketing
and follow-up campaigns. If you’ve ever heard someone say that they
spent $300 to make $10,000, the chances are it is a remarketing campaign. Remarketing is when you capture visitors to
your store with a tracking pixel. You can use that tracking pixel to follow
them around the internet and advertise to them the item that they were looking at. The easiest platform to do this with is with
Facebook, but you can remarket on other sites as well such as YouTube and you can do this
with Google AdSense. Remarketing ads easily have the highest ROI,
so if you are not running remarketing ads, then you are missing out on a huge chunk of
money. Despite the fact that remarketing is basically
free money, I see new dropshippers obsessed with creating their initial ads. They obsessively focus on the initial ad,
trying to find one that will convert the customer on the initial point of contact. But I finds this quite bizarre because a good
remarketing campaign can take a product that was barely making a profit or even making
a small loss, and turn it into a profitable item. So don’t make the mistake of not creating
remarketing ads for your products. Set them up ASAP. Another huge mistake is to not be running
follow-up campaigns to customers that have already purchased from you. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again,
most stores find that 50% of their sales are made from preexisting customers. So if you aren’t running follow-up campaigns,
then not only are you missing out on potentially half of your sales, but you’re missing out
on super easy sales as well, because these customers already trust you. It takes far less time and effort to convince
an existing customer to re-buy from you again than it does to convince a new customer to
purchase an item from you. And of course the easiest form of follow-up
marketing, which also conveniently happens to be the one that has the highest ROI, is
e-mail marketing. But yet again, when I ask most AliExpress
dropshippers if they have an email marketing campaign set up for their store, the answer
is almost always no. Don’t miss out on 50% of your sales. Get that newsletter series rolling. All right, those are my three big money sucking
mistakes that I see AliExpress dropshippers make over time. Follow the advice in this video and don’t
