talk about am can five lessons I’ve learned about online business so as you know how to blake for their anniversary and mean Sean celebrated her 12th anniversary 12 years own of it with 12 years about what could talk about today and I thought talked about kind of the lessons that I’ve learned I’ve learned loads loads and loads of lessons in lessons over the years they’ve been doing online business but I want to talk about some of the main ones and the hopes is going to help you and give you a little bit confidence give you and make you feel as if you’ve gone in the right direction because we all come up against photos and our online business and just like in a personal life as well we come up against our toes but we managed to get over these hurdles and hopefully with some of the things I’m going to talk about today hopefully is going to help you and get you thinking about you kind of journey as well and we’ve got Howard Manning as well got a lot of people just joining us as well so it’s good to have everybody here and it’s good to be back I’ve met always must do in life when I don’t do the lives always came to my said I was going to do a live a pop-up live from the country and I thought and I’m just going to even take a complete break I don’t think I’ve ever had a complete break from doing the online business I was checking emails and stuff like that but not from fairly long I was up early in the morning but it wasn’t doing it for very long and that’s probably one of the lessons take a player hitch and but the first lesson about online business I’ve learned is it’s not necessarily about your talent there’s going to get you through as about the amount of work and effort that you put in to your online business I I don’t see myself as particularly talented I honestly don’t know don’t see them talented in any specific connect area or business I know a little bit about every part of the business the marketing that can a website building can i doing the live shores calendar work and stuff like that but I don’t see myself as particularly talented and you know from being really honest and I’ve got a very creative mind and I see that as one of the main towns but that creative mind can get me in trouble because I get all these ideas for different things and I have to Reena and in some ways but I don’t think it’s necessarily about your town it’s about the amount of effort that you put into what you’re doing and that comes with if you believe in what you’re doing if you truly believe in what you’re doing then the effort is going to be effortless if that makes sense so it’s not going to feel like work it’s not gonna feel like drudgery is not gonna feel forced in any way it’s just gonna be you know what you meant to be doing so you’re going to go out and you’re going to write that blog post you’re going to build our website you’re going to create our product you’re going to go on life and you’re going to enjoy the whole process you’re gonna enjoy the journey and it’s not just about the destination at the end because your destination changes your destination is never the same as it was last year or the year before or the year before that at first my first destination was just to make enough money so I could give up my full-time job and do this full-time but the destination is taught to a change and a change is probably up to six months and so it’s not just about the destination it’s not just about kind of trying to get enough money to do something and survive the journey you take to get there and all the lessons you learn along when the Germany as well always gonna make us so much worthwhile for you and that’s why I keep saying cuz all the people saying and that’s just no working I’m gonna give up the many times I said though honestly the many times I said I’m putting so much effort and it’s just no working I don’t I don’t well I didn’t really say that to myself without that then voice I didn’t said to show him away for anything but the main of effort there was porn and I was getting very little under ton but I was measuring the return by cannae dollars the amount of dollars that was given and my main goal was to give up my full-time job of the time so that’s how I measured the return on investment but know about that as about so many more things that were going to be talking about as well so the first lesson is hard work definitely waste town you don’t have to be hugely talented at a particular thing you just hope that the belief in yourself and that can a wherewithal to keep on going not in just put the effort in and show up every single day while you’re doing online every single day turn up you’ll notice I show up every single day doing something and the group’s on pages on my own personal page on the live shows for example every single day I’m kena I’m not in your face but I’m there I am every single day the second biggest lesson this is a huge place and I didn’t really learn to after about 5 years of doing this is don’t do it alone being an entrepreneur and working from home especially it can I ease it again to the main set there you can learn everything yourself when you can and you shoot to learn everything about the business about building websites about marketing about email marketing about can a building a what players say about creating products and start a membership site just – everything you need to know everything but know and be confident enough to pass some of the tasks on to somebody else even if they have to hire some day or barter with somebody so trade off your skills again someday else’s skills to help you out and it helps both of yours out if you’ve not got the money to hire somebody but it’s really really kind of cheap to hire something – like a VA from example you can hide in a VA for two three dollars and and if you wanted app you do want to do that you cannot do this alone and for the first five years I was doing every single thing and I was doing it all myself I didn’t really want to hand it anything over to anybody else because I just want to do myself pocket that I was not a person that knew I wanted in my head I knew the images that I wanted created from a Facebook page and you the types of videos I wanted make it I knew the message for the marketing and you can what can I design I wanted for the websites I knew the products I wanted to create as well but there’s so many more things that you can hand over to somebody else and even not from a work point of view I’m talking about prom just having somebody to talk to being in a group a Facebook group then if you’re learning from other people in a Facebook group if you’re a McKenna same niche is somebody else and you’ve got you’re in this group you’re always learning from other people so don’t try and go alone and think you have all the answers because trust me you don’t and I thought I did at the beginning I thought I know how to do all this I know how to do I can do this alone I don’t need to hire somebody I don’t need to speak with anybody else I don’t need a coach should only test it or need that and I tried to do it all on my own and it doesn’t work you have to build up those connections build up the connections online and for people that are in your niche even not necessarily in your niche bar in the same kind of business space as well because someday as always got something to teach you and that’s another kind of lesson as well you have to educate yourself that’s the third thing educate yourself every single day whether it be how to build a wordpress site whether it be how to do the marketing whether it be how to say up an email campaign will be how to say up a new membership area how to create videos how to create images how to do all that educate yourself every single day on something new because things are changing that fast online especially with the likes of Facebook that’s changing all the time and you have to keep up to date you have to educate yourself every single day and that’s one of the big lessons I’ve learned as well I could easily can I just let ydf and just promoter all the time and not keep up to date but constantly have to keep that up to date the program itself well it’s just going to be very dated very quickly and that’s what you have to do as well not has to settle it for all Nicias like I’ve got positive life affirmations as a product I don’t really need to have to keep that updated but still have to keep updated to what people want for the life affirmations NASA question of just sending out an email asking what types of positive affirmations that like and that could become a new product for example so you have to keep up to date with what can I do customers want or all your potential customers are looking for as well and you have to find out how to do that how do you find out that information and so keep up to date and educate yourself for every single day even if it’s just reading a book yeah over the weekend but over the last kind of four days after it comes I’ve read two books the ultimate sales machine I read again yeah I think for the fourth time by cheer Holmes I just bought that book and I always always get something new from it and I read something about cryptocurrencies because I meant to cryptocurrencies just know as well and can a big time but I don’t spend too much time now some way there’ll be I know a no and a half ID or something just to educate myself on how to do treating with encrypted currencies so I’m educating myself theater I’m also educate myself on an online business and I so every single day am I’m doing that four to two hours per day at least I’m doing some kind of educational program or I’m doing some kinetic ational reading so always educate yourself and keep up to date as well the fourth lesson is it’s not just about the money I know you’re in business but it’s not just about money more importantly as about the people that you’re serving so more importantly is the by the people that you’re serving so if you look coach and there can a broad sense of the term coach then as more about your potential customers are small about the people that are coming on your life shows there’s more to buy the people that come into your Facebook page it’s much more about them than it is about the money that you can potentially make because you’ve got to build up that following you’ve got to build up that trust you’ve got to build up the know like trust factor the bills talk about the Celt factor and the key IOT factor but I saw about know like can trust from your customers as well or your potential customers and even if you’re kind of given education away for free like we do on the live show all the time and then give your best information for free and a lot of people come to me and say if I keep my best information away for free why people combine the programs because people buy a program because a they like you they know like and trust you be as very convenient together all in one place so suddenly by the widf program for example all the information they talk about in bits and pieces on the live show for example M is all in one place plus you get access to a secret group plus Giguere cannot access to but you plan for the coaching and things like that as well so it’s all in one place that’s why people are going to buy your programs the people that don’t you’re still educating them with blowing information and you never know I do down the line or two years down the line the rights were going to buy your program later on because of all the education that you’ve given them over the last year or two it have no doubt that people are watching their show just now and a lot of people have said as well and I’m just not ready by a program but I’m definitely going to get into the ydi program and later on and a lot of people have said that you know what people have come in because of these live shows for example and that’s because I’ve shown up every single day the first thing and this is really important if you build a product or if you’re thinking about offering your coaching services you make a product online or you’re making mp3s or videos there is no such thing as perfection no such thing as perfection you cannot perfect your product you cannot perfect your coaching service you cannot perfect it that’s why the iPhone has iPhone one two three four five six seven and say mother can in the Android as well the galaxy and as well you cannot something can always be made better so there’s no point in waiting until your product or your service is perfect before there isn’t it released it just now and update it as you go along and I know a lot so many people can have a product they’ve got an idea they started building and just say oh it’s not quite right it’s not quite I just can throw just now but when it’s ready I’ll put out and see how cute winds winds are gonna be ready what’s what’s gonna make it ready you say well I don’t know is kind of missing something and the waiting for perfection and perfection E is subjective good ideal of perfection is not somebody else’s ideal of perfection so good idea of a half-assed product that you think is half-assed as perfection to somebody else because it gives them the right information at the right time that they needed it so you have to think about it that way as well so if you’ve got product in the making or you’ve made a product but you don’t think it’s quite right luisa get out there just now do a pre-sale for example and just saying okay this is a beta version and this is what I’m offering this is I’m offering this as a coach or I’m offering this as a product or I’ve got this video series I’m offering as well just release it just now and perfect it not perfect along the way but make it better as you go along because you’re going to get feedback from your customers are you going to get feedback from your viewers or your potential customers in the future and use that to build upon the product that you’re making or the service that you’re offering as well so there’s no such thing as perfection perfection doesn’t exist and is subjective as well so that’s a 5 mean lessons I’ve learned so that’s what was thinking about when I was on can I’m a brain just saying one of the biggest kind of lessons I’ve learned along the way and one of the biggest ones as I mentioned there it’s not about the money there’s about the people that you’re serving and if you always keep that in mind you’re not going to go far wrong in your business you still go tell that business that you’ve still got to think about the financial side of things as well obviously never ever can I go into date with your business or never ever get a loan and if it’s not been a tested product or a service or ever never ever do that but you’ve got to have the financials in your head as well but as all by the people that you’re serving and that is what’s going to make you stand out as well because with a lot of kinda marketers out there our wealth kind of business marketers in particular and so about the money is how much money they can guess how much of a launch they can do is how much they can get in with this kind of product and then not really thinking about the people they’re not thinking about the customer service to not think about the after service as well when somebody buys your product and that’s what’s gonna make you stand out so I’m just wondering if you’ve got any questions I’m about that yeah we’re just going to see the comments just know I’ve not got an escape one in the moment and so I can’t see any questions in background so and just see Sheila Fletcher could anything be the best you can be and work towards excellence not perfection yes you can always get better at what you do you can always get better you’re never going to be perfect I am like Cheryl’s there’s their work towards love your positive life affirmations yes I was just responding to an email regarding Matt’s team they excellent names I do I really like them have not had time to spend a lot of time on the positive life affirmations I eat for the marketing side of it because we’ve been so busy too busy with ydf ydf Arizona’s coming up as well and so I’ve been really busy with that but I need to get on top of the positive life affirmations it’s all there it’s just needs to be no marketable and market it better amber McCutchen I want to write a book but don’t really want to Facebook business but anything other than marketing is that possible meaning I don’t want to spend hours on Facebook you don’t need to spend hours daily on Facebook um but but you do need a social media presence and with Facebook being one of the biggest ones so you need to put in time and effort into your social media because social media is the marketing side of it now you’ve got push marketing you’ve got pull marketing the way I can I teach and ydf is all about pull marketing you’re not trying to force your book on anybody in this instance you’re not trying to force it you’re just kind of building up a presence and building up building up that know like trust factor and that’s what Facebook can do for you especially if you’re gonna do a live show and for example but even if you’re not doing a live show you can still do the videos you can still do the image quotes and get people to come to your page and start following you and then they’ll start looking for you books they will start looking for your products they’ll start looking for your services rather than you forcing your services books and products onto other people as well and that’s what it’s all about social media is one of the biggest things to start book marketing for example you’re talking about right number camber and the best time to start as now even before you’ve written one word on a peach the best time to start building up your social media presence there’s no this is when the marketing starts and this is where the know like trust can factor is coming in as well you start to stray away even before you put pen to paper and see if there’s any more questions or comments here a lot of emmett people don’t feel they just give up before the magic happens what that what that is true that’s true I mean there’s so many times lolly and I so many times if I’d given up I wouldn’t be here talking to you today I’d still be kind of working a full-time job somewhere that didn’t really want to work out so many times I could have given up but you just push on through it you keep on going push on through keep on going Heather next Toto keep on going Heather next outdoor keep on going there’s always going to be hard tools there but how tools are there for a reason as to sure how much strength you’ve got to get over that hot dog or render hot dog or dig your way underneath the hunt or whatever you way you can use to get pasta then s2 sure is about your strength of character as well so like that people don’t feel they just before the magic happens so so true and Betty Lafayette I was sailing electronics I was keeping up with all the new items but I loved my customers did not stay with us it went where they could buy cheaper free shipping we couldn’t afford free shipping all the time but once I wanted to tell you your customers are not loyal the wood shop Amazon Walmart or the big box stores that’s true it depends and that’s why you have to make yourself stand out and what would what differentiated you from everybody else and what people can do customer service could be a big differentiation and you have to have the the USP Watchers USP really unique salient point if you can are selling the same thing as everybody else but everybody else is doing it cheaper and so you’ve got to have something that makes you stand out I’m not saying you’re kind of products were would buy it or anything else but if somebody’s doing a cheap of why with this day can a loyal to you and this is why care the social media presence is so good as well because it builds up that brand loyalty as well I built up the loyalty to you can store to you as a person as well depending on who the faces or the game the company is so that’s why social media is so important as well that’s another thing has just been highlighted there if you have a big social media presence and you’ve got good customer service and you’re in people’s faces can tell them what to do with the products and services like showing them exactly to use it innovative ways being funny and just being there all the time for them then that’s what could make you stand out it could be that could be the definite differentiation point that people wouldn’t go to Amazon for that come to you like Dyson for example a Dyson have got vacuum cleaners and you’ve got loads of other stuff as well in the market I would never ever buy a vacuum cleaner from any other company apart from Dyson purely because of the customer service the customer service is second to none and I would not go past Dyson no other companies might have great customer service as well but because I’ve had them for years a Dyson vacuum cleaner I’m never ever going to go anywhere else I’m never going to try anything I know the products are blowin and all that customer service is amazing I just need to phone them up just say the Hoover’s not working and I think I need this part and I’ve done a couple times I’ve just sent out another part for me to say okay this is what you do we’ll send out another part and the governor for free a lot of the times as well because it’s under one year but one time was I can have bought it two years ago they’re still sent out for free the customer service is second to none and that is one of their unique salient points apart from the products as well and that’s why I would never go to somebody else and other than Dyson I was always stick with Dyson and yes you have to make yourself can estando as well and doing live shows like this and for example there’s a way to make yourself stand out mm-hmm Malathi I’m not into business I still like your inspiring suggestions I just want to be happy there’s no business they sent us yes very true very true AM Lakes Hampton how do you keep an online presence without being overbearing well I think it’s just showing up every day but the thing is Lakes everybody chooses to come to you’re sure they don’t if you’re if you’re doing a live show for example if you’ve got a Facebook page and without being overbearing you’re not pushing it in anybody’s face you’re just being there and you’re allowing people to be there with you and that’s the thing as well give a lot you’re not pushing yourself on to anybody you’re not advertising all the time you’re not saying you have to come and watch I’m sure you have to sign up for this you have to sign up for that you’re not being in your face all the time you’re just saying I’m here if you want to come and learn something from me that’s cool if you don’t it’s cool if you don’t like me as COO you can go somewhere else that doesn’t matter to me if you like me or not you can go somewhere else to learn because it’s your personality let’s come across as well and that’s one of your USP is as well your personality you can be your own unique 7-point as well and so you don’t have to be overbearing it’s just about being there and there’s a shoe i watch on youtube that when i watch the shoes as absolute blowing i love fo the information the education there but they don’t show up that often and I quickly forget by them so then we’ll do videos once every couple of weeks or something and quickly forget about them and when I go back to see the videos they’re always real really good but forget for maybe a month or two to go to the show and kind of watch it because they’re not there every single day that they were there every single day I would turn up most days taking watches only 10-15 minutes that they’re on for but because of not there every day I quickly forget about them and that’s well it’s like with your social media presence as well if you’re not gonna show up every single day then people are going to forget about you very quickly and so you have to show up every single day but you’re not being overbearing I’m sheriff Fletcher cleaning customer service is so important indeed and was in it for so many years at banking and my corporation as customers customer service is so so important and and on mine as well as so so important after care if somebody buys a product up or can unload the products online and the aftercare – it there’s no after care whatsoever people don’t can I write to you
