okay so in this tutorial I'm going to show you how we're going to upload our video now the money video that I've been talking about in previous videos is currently being made up so while that's being made up I think this would be a good time to show you how we're going to use Wirecast to upload our videos so first of all make sure you're logged in to your YouTube channel and we're not going to upload it the regular way like most people would do here we're going to hit Creator going to hit a little avatar picture it creates a studio and then that's going to open up and then we're going to come down here to where it says live streaming and if we hit the little link here it will give us two options stream now or events we want to use events so we're going to click that and then when this opens we're going to hit plus new event now don't worry if yours is blank but we're going to hit create new event now the reason we do it what we're doing is let me just give you a bit of background live events was basically designed so that people could stream this stuff live as it happens but what we're going to do is we're going to take a video that's already been made and it's already been put onto our computer and we're going to upload it as if it were a live event now of course it's not a live event because it's already been recorded but this is going to really really really help us with our rankings so first of all we've got to fill out a few things the title would just be the title of your video which would of course be your keyword and a little bit of a tip you want to have your keyword but you also want to make it enticing so maybe your keyword and then maybe a little asterix and a question or something else but something that kind of looks attractive or interesting to the prospective viewer you're going to want your description which of course the best way to do that would be your keyword in your first line and then your link in the second line because only the first two lines will actually show when the videos on youtube so you want to make sure that your link is there for everybody to see tags you would do as per usual and we can actually come back in and edit all of this stuff later so don't worry if you forget staff or leave stuff out it can be changed now the time is very important as you can see here it's 848 am here in Japan so this time can be anytime you want but it must be in the future so I'm just going to leave my I'm going to put my 930 it goes up in 30 minute increments so I'll put mine at nine-thirty am these may be checked under I'm going to basically make sure these are unchecked because this is just a test I don't want this live event shared on my Twitter on my Google+ now but if this were for real then of course I would do as for here we can leave it as unlisted or public there's no point doing it private but to my mind if you want to get your video ranking of course you want it public so i would just in here i would put my key word again and then i would put a call to action so i might put please like and subscribe for more great videos on so-and-so topic once we're all done we're going to hit create event and that will open up into a new page and the thumbnail we can upload now or we can upload later I just prefer to do it later and there'll be a reason for that which I've explained in a very in a second so we're gonna leave the thumbnail as is and we're going to select a bit rate so let's click on that now I always choose 316 out with the technique that we're doing here it does require that you have a good internet connection and that you have a decent computer because if you don't sometimes it can be a little bit fiddly or choppy so we wanted to be as smooth as possible choosing this one here puts less strain on our computer and also the quality is still perfectly fine this is the top quality but with my testing I found that sometimes it's choppy because you do need incredibly good connection and sometimes you don't always have the best connection so I just recommend 360 so I'm going to click that that will open up and it will say successfully saved here now we have to select our encoder but previously we've downloaded Wirecast so we're just going to leave Wirecast as is and then we're going to hit Save Changes now the event was successfully saved okay so now what we need to do is we need to actually open up wire car so I've got it here so I'm just going to click on wire cast and open it up now i'm on a mac if you're using a pc it may be slightly different but it should be fairly similar you can see kind of my picture here my ugly mug here so the first things first is we need to connect our youtube channel to wire cast and we do that by hitting output output settings and then authenticate and it will give you a bunch of channels and i'm going to select this account which is my main accounts and i'm going to hit you have to just basically hit allow and then it will come up here ok and it's fetching active events so let's just let it do its thing ok and it's gotta see our event keyword which is our test so it's connecting well enough so we're going to hit okay okay so what we're going to do now is we're going to go back over to youtube we've got to kind of come back and forth back and forth but we're going to go back to youtube and we're going to go to live control room ok this is here we are not receiving data from your encoder please make sure it's configured correctly in the ingestion settings page so let's go back to our encoder and let's hit string and we've got it just you know wait for a little while what a way for it to kind of do its thing as you can see that little red things gone and now it also is good ok it's good that's good stuff so now what we want to do is we want to hit preview ok are you sure we're going to say yes and we're just gotta let it do its thing again this might take up to 30 seconds it says the status stream is good everything's good right now so now we're ready to start streaming so what do we do now well let's go back to Wirecast if I were to start script screening now i'm gonna click on this little blank shot here there's just a black screen i do not want to you know basically upload a black screen if i click here it's me turn off the volume there got a little bit of a feedback there but ok so i don't want to basically have meat so i want to upload a live video so what I can do here is I can click on one of these presently hover over this little plus sign and if you can see it and we get different options so if we click on this one for example we can add FaceTime camera this one we click on this it's about sound this one if we click on this it's about launching a desktop presenter and if we click on this one it's about adding a video shore a music shot so there are various things we can okay if we come up here file we can hit file and we can import media and we can import a video from our desktop so I'm just going to pause this video while I find a relatively short one okay so we'll enter my computer and I found a video that I would like to use and I chose this one if I click on it ok it's going to start playing and it's going to loop a loop and loop now of course when I come to actually doing this I'm going to make want to make sure that i have this video the sound turned back on so as you can see here there's a timer so I'm going to wait until it gets down to one second okay and then I'm going to come back to my black my blank shot okay and what I'm going to do now is I'm going to come over here and I'm going to hit start screaming okay your event is starting okay now my event is live so I'm going to come up here come back to wire cast and I'm going to turn the sound on and then I'm going to sound on the sounds on I want to turn the sound on then I'm just going to click on this and let it play through once so just watch what I do and then as you can see i clicked back onto this one okay so I've I had a black blank shot at the start then I played my video and I kept silent and let it play all the way through and then once it was finished i clicked back on this blank shot don't worry if you miss it and the video starts playing again because if you forget to go back to the blank title just auto that when it'll play again and again and again it's okay because we can come back and edit this but now I'm going to come back here and I'm going to hit stop streaming okay and now our video is basically done okay we've uploaded our video via livestream all that's required for me to do now is to kind of come back and turn off wire cutter that can turn off the stream okay and i can even close off Wirecast now completely don't say okay so now my video is here don't worry about this kind of stuff we've not got to basically worry about anything now in the next video what I'm going to do is I'm going to show you what to do next because we've got our video but we had that blank shot at the start and we you know maybe had a blank show at the end or maybe if you did it your video would have all would have looped again and again and we want to edit our video to make sure of course that it appears nice to the viewer so i'll show you how to do that in the next video
