today’s question comes from Johnny and he’s asking how do I deal with the long shipping times from Aliexpress welcome to the tilled Waddell assure where I show you how to create the freedom and and now I get this question so often that I just had to shoot a video about it I think I’ve even shot a video about this or you know similar topics in the past but I just want to do another video explaining how you want to go about this so first of all long shipping times isn’t as big of an issue as you think and why do I know that because I’ve tested this right I’ve tested different shipping times I’ve tested different suppliers running the same ads and I’ve observed conversion rates I’ve observed conversion rates with long shipping times and short shipping times and in my experience even with long shipping times conversion rates don’t drop so my theory is if people want the item bad enough they completely ignore the shipping time what I’m saying is I split tested long shipping times and short shipping times using two different suppliers and I didn’t experience a drop in conversions or sales from the long shipping times now you can get away with very long shipping times I’ve got a store with 55 days shipping time okay to store in Spain and there is no other option right there is no shorter delivery time so I was forced to use 55 days shipping times it’s it’s not 55 days all the time it’s between 29 and 55 days so some items arrive earlier and others it takes longer to arrive you can pull off almost anything as long as you’re number one transparent about it you have to be transparent about the shipping time meaning on my stores I put the shipping time at the very top of the product description I tell them at the very top before anything else shipping time is 29 to 55 days the item ships out within three business days there it is transparent objective there to see for everyone then in the order confirmation email I say it again I tell people shipping time is between twenty nine and fifty five days please be patient and allow some time for the item to arrive so I’m reinforcing the shipping time I’m not trying to hide it I’m trying to be as transparent as I can about it now you will still get more customer support emails so the only downside of long shipping times is you have to do more customer support in my experience conversions won’t be affected so all of you that think having long shipping times will suppress your conversions I challenge you to test that because in my experience the data goes completely against that what is true is that you’ll have more customer support in the back end of your store so after a couple of days or weeks people will start emailing you and saying hey where’s my order where is my item when can I expect it you want to make up for the long shipping times with great customer support so although you’ll get more requests and more inquiries and more customer support emails from people asking where is my item you want to make up for that with great friendly customer support now you can have a template for that I recommend writing a you know a template that you can use over and over again and you want to tell people how long the shipping time is you want to tell them if the item doesn’t arrive until that date they can get a full refund and you want to just tell them to be a bit more patient that it’s normal that the item takes that long and of course if you have a tracking number for the item put that in the email let them know what the tracking number is so they can look up their order if they want you so reinforce the positivity tell them that it’s normal that there is long waiting times for this item and just tell them to be a bit more patient and in most cases people will be happy if you send them an email because people just want to know what’s going on people get about the long shipping time some people although it’s at the top of the description and in the order confirmation email some people just don’t read it data still miss it and they’re just wondering where’s my item they just expect it to be faster but the good thing about being transparent is if people say I want to refund I didn’t know the shipping time is so long you can tell them look we don’t do refunds but we displayed the shipping time very prominently at the very top of the description and in the order confirmation email so we’re not hiding what’s going on here and you ordered the item and we don’t do refunds for that reason we only do refunds if the item doesn’t arrive at the latest date where it should be arriving so this is a message to everyone who is scared and overthinking and overanalyzing the shipping times stop doing that just build a store and see what you can pull off look I can pull off 55 days shipping time and I challenge you to see what you can pull off don’t make it such a big deal just go ahead and test it and then deal with it after the fact make up for it with great customer support yes it is a bit harder of course compared to having short shipping times you’ll have more customer support we’ll have a couple more complaints a couple more charge backs and refund requests and stuff like that but you can still pull it off you can still have a very very profitable drop shipping business with very long shipping times you can get away with almost anything as long as your item is super hot people really want it and you have great friendly customer support you
