hey there everyone welcome to episode 1271 of the Mike from Maine show the place where we do daily interviews with successful online entrepreneurs this is your host Mike Thomas and today on the show we have Ryan Phillips on and we’re gonna be talking about a video technology that has already made some of its clients here upwards of $40,000 you can see here and actually right here on the sales coming in as well for that amazing results let’s get into it here’s Ryan we are here today with Ryan Phillips Ryan and welcome back to the show hey thanks for having me autumn I got to be here yeah Ryan you’re one of those guys that when I think of video marketing you definitely come to money to my mind you were you’ve come out with these these softwares that have helped people to not only create amazing video but at the same time we’re going to talk with us today people have actually been using this to get results and have made a ton of money from them and not in a skinny way no in a sleazy way but by providing value to other businesses so I’m really excited to talk about that today I’m gonna go ahead and read out the headline here and let you bring us into your new version of a I correct am I and the right exactly that’s that’s exactly what interactive video is cool and in that normally that doesn’t happen like in a normal video people can’t skip around like that but if if I wanted to put in just a little more extra effort there I could make it so that okay maybe someone isn’t interested in a certain part of it and that’s okay you can cater your video marketing specifically for that person and it’s gonna make it a more enjoyable experience for them before we Scout started here I actually mentioned that there was some proof of people actually using this so you can talk about hypothetical situations all day long but can you let us know a little bit about some some proof that you’re in we’re gonna have actually on your sales page when people check it out yeah sure so I’m not just gonna go over the industry proof like you know interactive video on average double conversion triples engagement and guess up to a 14 times higher click-through rate on your course to action but you know that’s across the industry does it mean that one of our users is gonna get that who knows but actual user data just bring it up on my phone now from our Facebook group this your third or fourth version of this software it will be a fourth version we first launched this back in two thousand and sixteen and now we’re in 2020 it’s our fourth iteration of this software now what’s gonna happen here as far as what’s brand new in this version what happens if someone already owns the previous version let’s let’s run over that real quick sure so anyone that owns a previous version if you don’t upgrade you still get the brand new updated user interface so it’s a lot easier to use it’s a lot more intuitive and it looks a lot cooler if you pay to upgrade that’s when you get the new features so there’s a whole bunch of new features I just mentioned the main two for the front end first one is our PDQ player the pretty damn quick player we basically rebuilt our interactive video player completely from scratch from the ground up so it’s lighter and it’s faster so it’s just faster playback across all devices you have to pay to upgrade to get that the second thing is that it’s actually the world’s first customizable interaction lai-him builder so what that is is when we make our interactive videos we would have a really professional awesome animation that would slide in the different option to a pop-up it’d look amazing and the reason why I’d look amazing is you know we have a full-time videographer on staff that goes into Adobe After Effects you know creates these animations and burns it onto the video so it’s easy for us now without users you have to spend tons of time and effort into learning that I don’t even know how to do it or you have to pay someone to do it so what we’ve done is now we’ve got the first interactive customisable builder so when you’re making your options that people can choose you can select a template that we give you and customize it you know instead of the screen shooting across and a timer coming up in the ten-second you know tick timers going down and the options are coming up you could never customize that before in any interactive video software with interact revolution you can change the title change the images change how you know the animations done so you can completely customize it without having any you know animation skills with Adobe After Effects or any of the really complicated software’s okay let’s take a look inside I know you don’t time to show all the features today but if you can just see a little bit of how it works they’ll be great sure so let me hopefully share my screen without blowing up the Internet so I’m gonna click on okay so now we’re inside of interactor evolution now when you come in you know I’ve created tons of interactive video so this will be blank so what you would do is click on new project and with the pro version there’s lots of templates that you can grab but you know on the front end we can create a blank project and I’m just gonna name this on here and I would click on create now what this does it takes us to our project canvas where we can upload our video clips and these video clips are what we’re gonna put into our interactive video now for the sake of time I’m going to jump into a project that I made yesterday called demo test because I’ve already got my video clips over here inside the media library from here I’ll drag over my videos onto the canvas this is actually a local business video for a coffee shop so I drag over all of my video clips and I want to make this interactive now as you can see here you know this video isn’t interactive just yet so how we make it interactive from this 30,000 foot view is we just double click on a video and that takes us inside of the timeline editor over here on the Left we have the different interactive elements that we can add onto our video on the right hand side we have our video preview and the timeline now what I’ll show you is the customizable interaction layer because we’re the only interactive video software in the world that actually has this feature so I’m just gonna click it on interaction layer at the top over here we have templates now with the front end we get these three templates the coffee sharp the man-woman and the top menu now remember we can customize all of these in every single way so it doesn’t matter what it says what it looks like we can change all of that so let me show you or we can create one from scratch I’m going to select the coffee shop interaction layer so as you can see here’s how it animates on and if we let’s say want to change let’s say that we’re you know creating at this video for a local coffee shop or we just like how this looks with the images and the text when we want to change it we might want to change the headline so instead of it saying what would you like to try we could say our question goes here and let’s say you know americano let’s say we wanted to change this to option one okay now when we actually preview this animation now because we’re on GoToWebinar it might be a bit laggy but for me it comes on flawlessly and the interaction layers change the headlines change the texas change we could move these around we could change the images it’s 100% customizable then all we do is we just actually make this interactive we click on the elements that we want to make interactive then what we want it to do on click do we want it to play a node a node is a video do you want it to open a URL skip to a time in the video or open a pop-up like an email opt-in form a Buy button or something like that let’s say we want it to play a node and we want it to play the americano one remember I just changed the text and of course you know maybe if they click the text we want it to play you know americano and if I go back to the canvas now we can see that interactive branch has been created okay so when I preview the project and when this I’ve actually took the audio out I’ve muted the audio okay you can see here’s the americano video and if I play this right from the start from the intro let me make this the start video I’m gonna publish the changes we’ll see if we click on that first video that we’ve changed the name from americano to option one is actually going to link us back straight to this americano video okay let’s take a look so I’m hitting play so this is the video the person’s walking inside of the coffee shop remember this is a local business example the coffee’s being made now the audio that would probe this would be hey you know what’s your favorite coffee we’re gonna give you an exclusive discount coupon if you come into our shop and you know grab a coffee the intimate interaction layer comes up you know what the text is changed the options changed if we click on americano it plays the Americans at the timer runs out there Ryan right that timer runs out on the left hand side there’s a little timer on the left hand side what happens if that comes down to zero if when this countdowns to zero it just keeps this on here so it means that you know it’ll go tell go dum-dum it goes down to zero and then this just shows on here so someone you know can still select that option what you can do in the settings is you can have it so if the countdown does go down to zero it can automatically play a different type of video no we can we can do that and we can change you know do we want to show the timer or not how long do you want the juror you know how long do on the duration to be do you want it to play the sound we can change all of this of course we can change the template as well we can have let’s say the man-woman template now remember we can change these colors we can change the text we can change the images this could be a yes or a no it doesn’t have to be a man or a woman you know we’re just demonstrating that we have a complete set of customizable interaction layers now how these other different layers work down here or interactive elements is we can basically just drag these onto the screen and make an interactive portion of the video you know this is the hot spot a hot spot is an invisible button so all I want to do is when this you know button is clicked let’s say I want it to play the LAT a video okay and then I do is I position our invisible hot spot over the top of the element that we want to be clickable let’s let’s just imagine this was a button okay then we can change you know the duration when we when do we want it to actually come in and again what I want to stress is that this is the way that we had to create videos before okay if I go back into my projects library and if I go on this if I scroll down and I’ll show you the recreate JB video this is that joint-venture video for interactive evolution okay if I bring the intro over here at the end of the intro you could choose your the first interaction layer words you want to have choose car or scooter so what we have to do in the past is open our video up so it opens up the timeline editor we’d have to either play this video or we could just drag this across and fast-forward and when I hit play you know these the scooter and the car we could never customize this we’d have to drag over an invisible hotspot and we’d have to make the invisible hotspot go over the scooter button over here and say unclick play the scooter video okay what that would do is it would make this interactive which is great that’s what we want as you can see if someone clicks the scooter they go to the scooter video but the problem is if we make a really cool interactive video we’ve just had to you know burn on these animations with Adobe After Effects and put it in the video but all of our users didn’t have the ability to do that what we can do now is we can create these awesome interaction layers that we can select you know that would animate on the timer would be on this could be instead of you know want to find out more we could say you know how do you want to ride over here and we can make this bigger add in that question mark at the end so it’s a natural question you can make this centered and then we can either change the text or the images over here to say car or scooter you know and then we can make it over here you know select the node which one do you want it to play okay so the benefit of this is instead of you know being stuck where the interaction layers either aren’t very nicely animated or you know there’s a really nice animation layer that someone’s created but you can’t customize it you know you can’t change the tax you can’t change the images you know you can’t change anything that’s happening now with interactive evolution you can do just that you have the power to go out there take our you know coffee video that we’ve already made showcase this to a local business and when the local business comes back to you and says hey you know that that videos incredible it looks really cool I love how the animation comes over where you can select the coffee and if you know it could be for any business because we can change this they might say hey instead of having americano lacks a expresso in cappuccino you know we want to put a different offer that we have can you just change this to say you know bulletproof coffee and all of our users will go oh crap I actually can’t do that but now you know we can have an impact we can edit the images we can edit everything so we’re literally the very first of the world’s first customizable interaction layup now I love it is that of course I mean you could do your own videos from scratch like if you wanted to do for other this is and you could in your own videos and that in your own like use those customized layers and everything to do your own as well right exactly we’ve used this demo for you know a local business demo but you know our interactive or interactor joint-venture video that we created you know that’s not for a local business that’s yes literally for us and if I select this you know you can see exactly how it’s built and you can see from the canvas we have our intro video they can select car or scooter then they can choose hey did you want to know about the prizes do you want to know more about the product or do I know what’s new with interact revolution you know then it goes to the other options and you can build out these interactive video experiences that take users down the path that allows them to actually get to their goal and when you start speaking to your video viewers directly your conversions skyrockets and we have lots of examples we have lots of different templates if you pick up the pro version you know you get access to all of these pre-made local business templates you get access to all of our generic templates that you can edit over here just swap out the videos switch out the interaction layers because now you can customize these by changing the text changing the images and then you could to go okay so before we move on the pro version so that that’s the pro version there with all those extra things and on the front end you can get everything that you’ve shown and you can get the commercial license on the front end right so that you can actually sell this here as a service people with with the front end you get access to all of the features now with the interaction layers like we said you can build your own from scratch so you can build your own customizable interaction layers or if you wanted to use this template because you like the timer you like how it comes across you like the banner you know you do get that and we have three templates available we have this sweeping across template which we call the coffee shop we have you know the full background man-woman template here again it doesn’t have to be a man or a woman you can change the text change the images it just means this whole side of videos clickable on this side whole side the videos clickable on this side and the third and final template you get with the front end is our top menu template where again you can put your logo here you can put a question here and people can have this top menu when their videos playing and that’s what you get included template wise with the front-end but you do get all of the all the features so you can create these from scratch you do have you know all of these interaction layers that you want to put on your video if you want an invisible hotspot like I showed you earlier if you want you know a button if you want an email opt-in form you know all of these things are all included inside the frontend license are there any limits on the front end Ryan as far as how many of these interactive videos you can add into the system or length of videos anything like that that people should be aware of now if you pick up the front end commercial version you can make unlimited projects have unlimited amount of videos in here there’s no length less there’s no restrictions in regards to you know how many you can create or the length of the videos and as far as the hosting goes is that hosted by you guys or do they use their own Amazon s3 or YouTube or us how does that work everything is hosted by us so let’s say you’ve created your interactive video and you want to actually publish this we just go to our publishing page and here you have an embed code that you can put on any website whether it’s WordPress convert tree click for old your own website and when you paste this into your site it shows the interactive video here so we do all the hosting and the good thing is when you make changes let’s say you’ve got this video or the coffee shop the local business has this video they’re using it and they want to make a change you can simply head over into the canvas you know make the change what you want to make inside of the video and the good thing is the local business or that video you know you don’t have to do anything all you do is go to publish in you just click on publish changes to republish the video and all the changes that we make inside the app automatically change on this interactive video now now where it’s hosted you know anywhere on the Internet love it okay okay so that’s that’s different an offer you alluded to the first upgrade a little bit there but let’s just kind of walk through that though so let’s walk through the OGS sure so oto one is the pro version now in the pro version we have some additional kind of power features that we find that you know the people that really want to exploit the power of interactive technology use those so the first thing is you get a whole bunch of templates now that the templates that you get in the pro version are the generic templates so these are the normal interactive video templates they’re not specific to local businesses these are just you know if I don’t listen yes and no template and select this and let’s say I call it mic and I can click on create it creates this yes and no interactive project with the videos pre-populated we can just swap out these videos for our own and and the good thing about this is it gives you all the ideas and the interactive projects already created that’s one thing that you get with the pro version what you also get is access to our media library so we have over 250,000 videos if I wanted to upload a new video down here you know instead of just uploading a video from my computer I can upload any of the clips that we have from our API access to our video creation service so there’s 250,000 videos that people can drag into the media library put into the canvas to make their videos you know instead of them recording them they can just use the videos that we already have now what they also get as a pro user is they get access to the survey feature where you can create surveys and quizzes well they also get as a pro user is the access is access to when we’re creating these videos let say that at the end of the video we want to get someone’s email address and we want to have a pop-up where a nice professional-looking pop-up comes up what we have is pre-made pop-ups already created so I want to drag a pop-up over here now instead of creating my own from scratch I can use or any of these templates with the pro version so let’s say that I you know want to capture someone’s email I can just select this and it’s already pre-populated I can change the colors and I can edit this but it’s already created now the other feature that you get as a pro user is you get more interactive layer templates so when I want to create an interaction layer instead of just these first three you know I’ve got ten extra additional interactive layer templates that I can customize and use for my project so let’s have a look at this diagonal one over here if I select this you know this customizable interaction layer that’s coming across already populated that I can customize you know we have more of those templates so there’s just more option to be more creative and get more stuff done now the final part of pro is instead of customizing the templates you could make one completely from scratch so what i mean by that is this let’s say when the pro version i create an interaction layer and the template that i want to use is let’s say the coffee shop one the one that we demonstrated earlier okay we have more options for customizing this so we can change the top animation yeah in the front-end version the animation comes sliding in from the top corner as we can see when I play this okay what I can do with the pro version is we have lots of different background animations that we can customize and edit we could also edit how the images and the text pops you know with the animation over here do write two arrays into one come in fast we want it to bounce so there’s just more options for customizing the interaction layers if you get the probe version one thing I didn’t ask you about Ryan is what happens if someone is on like an Android and iPad and an iPhone do these still work at all or does it just play like a straight video how does that work these work on Android and on iPhones and so again you know if you if you check out the sales page for interactive revolution and you’re looking it on your phone or on your iPad the interactive videos they play just the same as they would do on a desktop so you know you’re not restricted to just desktop with these they work across all different browsers and all different devices oh okay cool nice okay so that’s that’s the first upgrade I think you have your one more upgrade we have one more upgrade so essentially the second upgrade is what we call our agency Club so the agency Club is a combination of our interactor agency and our interactive Club put together so with the interactive agency you get the option to rebrand and white label this app so yeah when we go into the agency part of the software you know we can change the logo we can change the color scheme we can add and manage users we can basically make this app our own so if you do want to sell videos to businesses like a lot of our users already do when the user locks into the app to have a look at their project you know they’re not gonna see interactive branded it’s not going to be on the interactive domain it’s gonna be on your own domain you know you can have it on Mike remain calm the color scheme is gonna be yours the logos going to be yours so these are the businesses that are going to be paying you to create interactive videos for them essentially we’ll think that this whole software is yours they’ll never have heard anything about interactor now what else did you get with the agency is or the agency club is all of the 27 local templates so inside of the projects if we created a new project you know all of the local video templates for you know handyman real estate electrician coffee-shop I showed you earlier law yeah yeah we got 27 local templates that are professionally created in here we add in new ones each month that are already created you know so you could go to the plumber video now you could select the plumber video the interactive part of this is already created but what you can now do with interactive evolution is customize this you know you can change how this plumber videos created you know we use full actors we hire at the locations it’s not stopped footage it’s none of that now when we go in and edit these to share the local business we can completely customize the interaction layer and change everything okay now you get all 27 of those templates plus you get new local business templates every single month so you can actually make a business out of interactive video you also get the consultant kit where we have you know landing pages sales pages and explainer video social media posts everything that you need in order to actually go out there and sell interactive videos to local businesses sorry to interrupt you Ryan but I really like what I see there that real estate one there interact real estate video I can see Realtors loving this kind of technology like being able to take a little home like take a video like they could go into there into a house that they’re showing and they could show the bath like I make a video the bathroom make a video of the living room the kitchen everything and they could start the video off by being like hey would you like a we’re gonna give you a personal tour of that of this house what would you like to see first and they the customer could choose which one they want to see and there could be options for people okay are you are you interested in purchasing this house go ahead and you can call us at this number or go ahead and put your email in here so many different things like there’s so many different ways of using this it’s like I can see people definitely making money with us this is cool what 100 percent so essentially how the funnel works is on the front end you get access the interactor software you get the new updated UI you get the customizable interaction layer feature and you get three different templates that you can customize of course you can make your own from scratch and you’re good to go with the first OTO the pro version you get an additional ten different interactive layer templates so you can customize there’s more customizable options so instead of you know being stuck to have in the just all I would say is pick this up and take action just use it if you’re going to use it for your own business to increase your conversions to get more engagement than when you implement interactive videos I’ve never seen it not increased conversions or engagement okay so just make sure that you use it and if your plan is to use these interactive videos to make money by selling them to either online businesses or local businesses make sure you get out the get the agency option just really gonna help you to actually go out there and close sales and as I said we’ve got users that are doing this day they out it works and you can actually have a service that nobody else can really offer interactive videos more popular than ever but the problem is that all the good thing for us is the supplies really in low not many people can offer this as a service you can get in now at the ground level and really go out there met lots of sales dominate video marketing in your niche and make a
