hey guys Stewart here from chip Academy TV and in today’s quick tip I wanted to discuss another question which a lot of people come to me with when they’re looking at starting up a new online business online businesses are really popular these days for obvious reasons that are pretty low maintenance generally they’re easy and affordable to set up and they can be quite profitable for a little side business or a full-time job if you do well so a lot of people come and ask me they think okay I want to start up a little own business I want to do something that’s gonna make a good site income and potentially transition to be my full-time job and work from home get a different sort of a lifestyle happening so one of the first questions that they ask is what’s the most profitable online business that I could be in and my response is generally quite surprising because I always tell them it does not matter one bit what the most profitable online business is what matters is what kind of business do you have some expertise in what business are you passionate about and what business are you going to enjoy working on that’s the important question now you may be thinking well why is that relevant because I want to do this to make money so on a maximize the amount of money that I’m going to make in a quick step out of time let’s pretend that the most profitable online business that you could set up is car insurance for high-end supercars like Ferraris or Lamborghinis MacLaren’s and so on now if you don’t know anything about car insurance or high-performance supercars and you’re not really interested in those things then it doesn’t matter how much potential profit is in that business because you’re going to do a terrible job at failing that business and what’s definitely worse is that you’re not going to be interested or passionate about doing it so the important thing really above all in my opinion is what are you interested in what are you going to be passionate about doing because when you first start off it might take you some time to actually start generating some revenue to get your marketing happening properly and to actually get some dollars rolling in so really something that is kind of a passion project that will then ultimately generate some revenue you need to have that passion to be able to motivate yourself when you’re making absolutely no money whatsoever and then when you actually do start making money from it then it’s going to become really exciting when I first started doing online marketing tutorials I wasn’t making a single cent I had to do tons and tons of work to get all the courses produce to put all that material and build a website pull those structures in place do the planning it was months and months and months of really really hard work and I wasn’t making any money but I was still highly motivated because I was interested and passionate about what I was doing and I was really excited about the time when I would be able to finally publish it out there and let people buy the product and enjoy it so it was much more fulfilling for me from the start even when I wasn’t actually making any money from so I’d encourage you if you are thinking about getting into a digital business absolutely it’s so awesome it’s really really simple make sure that you focus on an area that you are passionate about you’ve got some decent expertise in and that you’re going to be excited to work on it in the early days when you’re not making any money and if you’re interested in learning the how to’s on how to set up a digital business and market it effectively online then go to tube academy dot TV sign up and become a member and you’ll get unlimited access to all their step-by-step tutorials on digital marketing from social media Google Analytics video marketing blogging SEO SEM and tons more so I hope you’ve enjoyed the video if you’ve got any comments or questions ideas for a future video that you’d like me to make leave a comment down in the comments below via give us a thumbs up if you did like the video and of course don’t forget to subscribe to the channel to get more free digital marketing tips in the future so thanks for watching and we’ll see you next time
