So my next guest, she’s here to show us how to binge sell, how to make money with things while we’re sitting on the sofa. She’s got a really cute moniker. She’s known as the “gift card granny.” She doesn’t look like no granny to me. This is Trae Bodge. (audience applause) Thank you. The reason we’re starting up here in the audience is that Trae may or may not pay for some items that our audience members have brought in with them today. I know which my vote is for the weirdest. (audience laughs) We’ll see when Trae’s gonna get to that. Trae, take it away. Let’s see, so Colleen, we know that you brought some stuff, right? Well, a picture of stuff. A picture of stuff, ’cause it’s too big. It would take up too much room. So what do you have? I have big boxes, loads of boxes. Yeah.
Stand up, explain what all this is. I mean, we all have boxes. I’m having construction in my home. I’m redoing my kitchen. Oh, god bless ya. Congratulations for that. You know that all those boxes, once you flatten them out or after a move you can do this too, you can actually sell them for about 38 bucks for a dozen boxes. I’m gonna give you 38 bucks for your boxes. Wow, thank you! (audience applause) What are we doing next? Okay, so Ana has some crayons, and you would think if you’ve got a lot of broken crayons around the house. Most of us do if we have kids, and we think, “Aw, I’m just gonna throw them in the garbage,” but guess what? Crafters and DIY-ers use melted crayons for lots of different crafts.
I was just gonna say, we had a woman here who turned this into children’s art for like a kid’s room. So they are valuable to someone, if not to you, and so you can get about 20 bucks for a box of broken crayons. (audience applause) Yeah, so congratulations! Want me to hold your crayons? Yeah, you can hold my crayons. I’ll hold your crayons. Good job! These two are going drinking. (audience laughs) Some cocktails afterwards. Now we’re getting to the one… This is what I saw backstage when I got to work today, (audience laughs)
(audience applause) and they’re like, “That’s part of a segment.” I’m like, “Toilet paper is part of a segment? All right.” (audience laughs) So this is Karen. Hi Karen. She collected all these toilet paper rolls. She’s very regular. (audience laughs) And the thing that’s surprising is because these are more valuable than the kind of other items that we’re talking about because you have to work hard to get them, right? (audience laughs) Well, you’re working hard sitting down. There’s that. So for a big bag of used toilet paper rolls, you can get about 50 bucks, believe it or not. Now we’ll go over here. All right, let’s go over here. We have some other fun things. All right. I never thought of toilet paper holder, rollers, whatever they’re called as a fun thing, but now I do. Okay.
Okay. Now what? What do we have in here, let’s see. I don’t know, it’s a mystery box. Baby supplies, right? Your baby grows fast, and you grow out of things, and so you can sell actually used baby bottles. Three of them for about $6.50, so that’s one thing that you can do. Wow. The more valuable thing are your used baby food jars. Crafters, beaders.
Love them, right? That I can see, because they make candles with them.
Teens and tweens, they’re making slime at home. This is my life right now, it’s all about slime at home. (Rachael laughs) You can actually sell a big box of these for $39.
That’s great. (audience applause)
For used baby food jars. Middle? Middle. All right-y. Egg crate, cartons!
Egg cartons, yeah! So these are great for painters, crafters, and also people who farm chickens. They need to be able to have the cartons to put their eggs in, and so you can actually sell these for between $10 to $40, depending on how large the box is. (audience applause)
Very cool. Pretty cool, right? And then this one is… I think you’re really gonna like this one because it’s really surprising. Dentures, used or new. Shut the door! Yeah, it’s crazy, and I actually found a full set of dentures online for $95.
(audience applause) Is that crazy? I don’t know about that one. I think that may be crossing the line for me. Somebody else’s chompers is just a little… Yeah. Okay, listen, can we maybe help our viewers and put up some of the links and sites and get them going? Yeah. Could we do that up on the website maybe? Yeah, absolutely. If you have stuff… There is some sites that would be very helpful if you wanna sell your things.
