what’s up everyone it’s time for another edition of running your screen up about it’s always hard to kind of get these things going first thing in the morning but welcome to another edition of running your screen printing business from home stay tuned well we’ll show you what we got going on today actually talk cheers [Music] all right time to open up the shopping see what the weather brings us today got ourselves a little bit of a traffic jam this morning all right so now it’s time to figure out what’s on the agenda for the day first things first is uh I’m gonna straighten this table up a little bit got ourselves some more vinyl for heat pressing some jobs actually got the hook-up on some free vinyl yesterday I’ve got this glitter vinyl your winning black glitter but hey the vendors really cold and I said here’s some free vinyl just take the whole roll it’s something we have on sell and we bring a lot of business their way and so we’re gonna use it for our daughter’s birthday shirts we’re thinking the theme of her birthday will be no because that’s what she tells us all the time and I’m sure you probably saw this when I turned on the light in the shop I need to push these things aside we had a client come by yesterday dropped off a bunch of shirts there they’re just looking for us to the screen print their shirts and so it’ll be great we’re working with them to create some cool stuff for them I think I’ll just stick this on the trusty old pile of boxes we have over here for orders I’m gonna go ahead and fire up the old trusty heat press cuz we got some shirts to press here and I’m just gonna go ahead and take care of that first thing in the morning and I’m gonna put away my samples cool thing that came up is we have a client that wants us to do about 10,000 labels for a a fragrance bottle and about a thousand labels for some boxes so I was just showing them some of our samples time to tuck that away and almost forgot about this but other day we got this in we got a little sample it’s the one ink for all garments really it’s for dry fit cotton 50/50 blends I know it says dry fit on here but we’ll share that information with you guys got this from one stroke with Christy Morgan up to the office so we can figure out what else we need to do just really keep a guy in shape normally I kind of like the soak up this view but it’s looking a little all right it’s time to get down to it the shop gnome has got quite the list of things to do and it looks like we’ve got some filmed output screens to reclaim here later on we got an order that we need the print here a little later today we’ll show you that about to get after heat pressing a couple orders I’ve got some mock-ups to do and quotes quotes we got questions that we need answered for some quotes and got some artwork through to create that will be a mock up for an approval so we can take care of that order yeah we got we got quite a bit of stuff to do here so y’all stick around and we’ll show you how we do it almost for God need to get a hold of Jeff to come pick up some film for screen printing on balloons let me go ahead and give him a call time to rock out some separations here but let’s dive into the old a key rip make sure everything is how I want it forty-two LPI nope I think I’m gonna step that up cuz we got ourselves a six color spot process job that we’re gonna do let me go ahead and change that to 45 and print some Philip go go a little Epson lay down those halftone dots another little quick tip is when you’re out putting your film in illustrator what you want to do is you want to put the information at the top and I’ll show you guys here in a second but you basically select the information option and it will put down on each piece of film what color it is in this instance it’s processed black and so when we go to expose our screens that will be at the top of our screens and we know which color is which okay we’ve got our vinyl all set aside could you please keep your hair out of our vital our product pulled and our heat presses up to Tim let’s heat press some shirts [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] okay we have our film all finished I’ve got Shannon the shop gnome working on some invoices my name is Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch you don’t feed you don’t EEOC’s website now it’s time for some design work [Music] [Music] [Music] now it’s time to print some shirts okay we got our inks all set aside for this job it’s going to be a six color spot process print show you how it’s done [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] time to ship some t-shirts and we’re back we just dropped some shirts off at UPS got a couple orders out today we printed an order we did the the front the you saw the video where we printed the the front left chest print where we’re gonna do the back that said crew and there was an issue of the screen so I’m gonna have to redo those screens and we took a moment to go to the grocery store to get a few things we need to make dinner tonight we’re about to do that here soon it is watch 752 and we’re still going at it one of the things about owning your own business is you kind of really kind of don’t really get a break but it’s a great thing because we we enjoy what we do there’s a lot of things that we have accomplished today that you guys have not seen there there’s some orders that came in one of our clients submitted in order for about 250 shirts we got another order for two shirts we’re gonna do that with vinyl and I’m sure we may show you a little video of that or at least post it on Facebook or Instagram or something like that there’s been a lot of clients that we’ve just kind of been following up with actually while we’re at the grocery store we were texted we were just texted by someone that needs shirts for the rodeo and here in Houston the the rodeo is a huge deal and so just kind of as a base they’re wanting about 150 shirts because there’s about 40 different members everybody needs 3 to 4 shirts and that’s a three day event they’re wanting a t-shirt for every single day of this three-day event not only just a t-shirt but they want a nice dress shirt like a Port Authority shirt and so that’s what I’m working on at this moment is getting pricing over to this new potential client I’m gonna send that over right away they to today is what is today I’m trying to figure it out sometimes these days just bar together but okay so February 7th they need their shirts by the 20th and the way it’s looking thus far is it’s gonna be a six color spot process left chest print and then a large back print that six color spot process and if they feel like the the pricing is right which I’m sure they will some of the other things that we do offer our banners business cards anything you can think of that that is a print media we we offer it even though the bulk of our business is screen printing so we offer a lot of these services this potential client that needs shirts also needs banners we kind of went back and forth and they’re wanting a 5 by 15 banner and so hopefully we’ll be able to help them out with that right now I’m working on what’s gonna kind of get the ball rolling for all this potential new business and it’s gonna start out with the t-shirts it’s gonna hopefully turn into a bannard sign signage for their the rodeo kick off because as a huge thing we’ve been on the phone quite a bit and it’s just one of those things with Shannon and I we kind of tag-team these things I do a lot of the production in she handles quotes phone calls it’s been a great day things are really starting to pick up and so very excited about that so we’re going to kind of take a little bit of downtime make some dinner for ourselves and then I’m going to wash out some screens which I’ll show you a little video of everybody loves love seeing someone watch out screens right it’s like doing the dishes it doesn’t want to see that same ways we’re getting closer to wrapping the day up not really because I’m gonna continue to do things like this and and also Shannon and I went over the new website design I feel like it’s it’s starting to look good and me as a designer I look at the website and and I compared to our competitors and then just some of these really nice websites out there I only have so much time to dedicate towards redoing this website design and then we have things like this words tutorials and a video log so we have we’ve got a lot on our plates and so I really hope you guys are enjoying these videos so stay help with a brochure design I think I need to get out from in front of this computer well guys I think that’s about it for today I was going to wash out some screens and do a little video of me
