[Music] hi guys I have a really cute friend with me here today this is Verdi and she’s about two weeks old now and if you’ve been around here for a little while if you’ve been subscribed to my channel for any amount of time then you probably know that I was pregnant and that she’s early we weren’t expecting her for another two weeks from now and she’s two weeks old right now so she was born almost a month early um but a lot of you guys asked to meet her and to see her after she was born so I just wanted to share her with you she’s really cute and she’s also really tiny because she was almost a month early so she sleeps pretty much all the time and she’s asleep right now because yeah she sleeps all the time she was five pounds six ounces when she was born and I just took her to the doctor today and they weighed her for her two week appointment and she’s now five pounds and fifteen and a half ounces so almost six pounds but still very tiny so I just wanted to share with you guys but I thought that along with this I would answer questions I’ve been getting a lot lately which is how are there still videos coming out and am i taking maternity leave and how is my business still running when I have a tiny newborn at home so Verdi was born a couple weeks ago on Wednesday at 11:25 p.m. and you probably weren’t aware of this but the very next morning Thursday morning at 6:30 a.m. a video came out and so the big question is how did that happen and did I stay up after birthing a baby and post a video on YouTube because that doesn’t seem very appropriate right and how would I even do that and the answer is no I definitely was not doing that the video that came out that Thursday morning had been posted on YouTube several day is about a week beforehand and it had just been scheduled for that Thursday morning and then the following week two more videos came out and both of them also had been scheduled ahead of time so that’s kind of the the SHA version of how things are still getting done is things got done ahead of time the slightly longer version is that over the past few months I’ve been doing extra work and I’ve been getting things really organized and really scheduled out so that things could keep going after she was born now unfortunately she was born a bit early and so I didn’t have as much done ahead of time as I really wanted to have done I was hoping to have a whole month’s worth of content already created all the emails written social media completely scheduled out and that didn’t end up happening instead I only had about a week and a half that was already done completely ahead of time however things were organized enough and I have built up my business to a point now where even though I wasn’t able to take a month completely off I have managed to be able to work just two hours a day since the week after she was born so for this past week I’ve been working two hours a day and I’m planning to continue working two hours a day for the next three or four weeks here so I just wanted to share it with you guys exactly what my weekly schedule is currently looking like so that you can understand how I’m managing to run my six-figure business in just two hours a day and just this frame of reference my six-figure business currently brings in about quarter million dollars per years about two hundred and fifty thousand dollars just and I say that because people throw around the term six-figure to mean like they were grossing a hundred thousand but they spent half of that on ads that’s not the case in my business my business actually makes about two hundred and fifty thousand dollars a year so I think that it will be helpful to you to see you know how I’m structuring my week to get everything done that I need to get done and still make that much money so starting with Monday on Mondays I spend my two hours first filming two or three YouTube videos that takes me about an hour to an hour and a half and then I spend the rest of the time answering emails because as much as people like to poopoo emails as just busywork fact is you still gotta talk to people stuff to communicate with your customers and your team so I do have to get those emails answered sometime okay I just went to put the baby down because she was getting away to Wiggly but moving on moving on to on Tuesday I focus on managing my communities so first of all I write two different emails for my list one of them goes out to my entire list everyone who subscribed to my email newsletter and then the second email is just for members of start-up society my online membership program on Tuesday I also spend some time managing my youtube comments and replying to people and managing my Facebook communities sf2 Facebook communities one of them is a free group just for people who are interested in starting an online business or reaching big goals and I’ll leave a link to that one down below and then the other one is a private group just for start-up Society members then on Wednesday and Thursday I spend most of those four hours creating content for the membership site so every single month start society members get access to a new online course it teaches them about some aspect of building their business so maybe it’s about growing their Instagram following or starting a YouTube channel or how to make money with their blog or how to grow their email list all sorts of different topics so I spend most of my time on Wednesday and Thursday creating those video lessons and the PDF worksheets that the members are going to get access to I also spend some time on Thursday answering more emails because again that has to get done sometime and then finally on Friday I schedule YouTube videos that are going to be published next week so every week I make a new video on Tuesday and on Thursday and the previous Friday is when I actually upload those videos to YouTube create the thumbnail write the description and all that the rest of Friday is spent answering emails and then on any miscellaneous tasks that have come up throughout the week that need my attention now obviously there are other things that need to happen in order to run my business there are way more emails that need to get answered then I could answer in just a couple hours a week so I have my assistant take care of a lot of those emails also videos need to get edited so I have someone on my team who edits the videos for me and then the one other thing that is a big thing that’s missing from this schedule is client calls because normally I’m working with one-on-one coaching clients and helping them to achieve their big goals mostly related to starting and running their my business and so that is the one thing that is off my schedule right now I normally spend about six hours a week working one-on-one with clients but right now I’m not doing that when I’m doing that I have to spend at least three hours if not four hours every day running my business but right now while I’m taking a little bit of maternity leave I’m not working with any clients for this month okay so that’s pretty much what my weekly schedule looks like beyond that I just wanted to share with you guys a few quick tips on how to make big progress on your goals while spending the least amount of time possible because really if you can spend less time working on your goals then that’s better right because you’ll have more time to spend on other things you’ll reach your goals faster and you’ll be putting in less work overall to be able to reach those big goals so my first tip is to only focus on one or two goals I used to try to spread myself way too thin work on so many different goals all at once and it just made it take forever to actually achieve any of them so these days I really just focus on one or two goals at a time that way I can make big progress towards each of them and it’s much more satisfying and motivating to see yourself make that big progress second whenever you’re doing your planning whether that’s at the beginning of every week or every single evening in preparation for the next day whenever you’re doing that take a look at whatever your big projects or goals are and determine exactly what the next action that you need to do for each of them is in order to move forward towards success so rather than waiting until you’re actually working and then thinking you know what do I need to do to work on that that just ends up seeming so overwhelming and the reality is that at some point or other you have to decide what you’re gonna do next anyway so you might as well decide ahead of time so that when you sit down to work you will not feel overwhelmed you’ll know exactly what you need to do and you’ll be able to do it much more quickly and not worry about procrastinating because the task will seem so simple my third tip is for you to clear your schedule and make the tasks that you need to do for your goals your number one priority so often our calendars just fill up with all of these things that we’ve agreed to or other well asked us to do or busywork things that aren’t really helping us move towards our big goals they’re not really in alignment with our priorities in life so clear your calendar as much as you can don’t let it just fill up but really declutter your calendar make a lot of white space and then schedule in those important tasks that you need to do in order to make that progress on your big goals and then right along with that my final tip is all of that stuff that you want to declutter off of your calendar either eliminate it automated or outsource it now I have another video here on my channel called how I get all my work done by noon every day and that kind of covers my normal work routine when I’m not taking maternity leave and I go in depth on exactly how you can’t eliminate things off of your schedule how you can automate things and how you even can outsource them and so if you want to find out more about that then I’ll link that video down below so that you can check it out but basically the idea here is that you just figure out ways to get those other tasks off your calendar and just be creative with it you don’t have to think oh well that’s something I have to do there are ways that you can figure out that you can either get rid of it figure out an alternative way of getting it done or figure out a way that someone else can do it for you and that doesn’t necessarily mean hiring an employee there’s lots of other ways that you could have someone else do your work for you anything from trading work with someone else or maybe asking your child to do some chores or hiring a freelancer to help you out or possibly hiring an employee but just understand that there are lots of options for getting things off of your calendar and if you really want to make big progress on your big goals in life then it is so important that you do clear your calendar in that
