hey everyone this is stefan from projectlifemastery.com and in this video i’m not sure to 12 of the best must-have tools for your online business now all the tools that I share with you in this video are tools that I personally use that personally benefited from and have made a huge difference to my online businesses all the tools I share are pretty much tools that we use every day in our distances and there are tools that I feel confident to share and recommend to you because I’ve done a lot of research myself my team we’ve tried so many different tools in fact every new tool that comes out we always test it we always try it and see if we can integrate that into our business and so you can feel confident and rest assured that what I’m going to share with you is the best of the best of what is currently available of what I personally use and I think can benefit you as well now of course it does depend what type of business that you’re in however the tools that I’m going to share with you I think are universal to almost every online business out there because every online business you need to have a website you need to attract people you need to market and I’m a big fan that anytime you can leverage technology you should you know if you can leverage a software or technology or a tool or resource the scale to grow to automate to free up your time then that’s always a smarter way of running your business now I will also mention just full disclosure some of the tools I’m going to share are free others do cost money and in which case I might be an affiliate for some of those as well so that basically means if you decide to check out one of the tools that I recommend and you purchase it through one of my affiliate links then I earn a commission from that and I’m going to have a blog post that will go along with this video that will link to in the description that will have a list of the tools and more information on them for your convenience okay now the first tool I want to share with you I’m going to take a gut set a fancy big flip chart here I’m gonna use the color blue the first tool in a share is one that you probably already know if you have an online business or you’ve been interested in starting one and I will mention this one more thing before I jump into this of course certain tools are going to be more relevant to you based on the stage you’re at with your business okay if you’re brand-new a beginner certain tools are going to really benefit you the other tools that might be a little bit more advanced or cost more money they might not be necessary for you when you’re first starting out so be mindful of that okay I’m not saying that you have to go out there and buy all these tools because some of them you might just have sitting on the shelf and you might be paying for them and they’re not going to benefit you immediately so I’ll try to help you understand and explain each of the tools here on which ones I think are essential starting out and then others as you get more advanced okay first one is WordPress now you probably already know about WordPress WordPress is free WordPress is essentially a blogging platform or a platform that you can use to create a website on its you know basically for me I think it’s the best platform that’s available I know a lot of people they want to instead use Wix or Squarespace or these other platforms but I do not recommend that if you’re serious about building your business and you really want to scale it and you want to be able to customize it in different ways because the benefit is using something like WordPress is that it’s open source meaning there’s other developers that can design themes that can design plugins that you can integrate with WordPress if you’re using something like Wix you’re having to pay them every month but you’re limited to what you can do because it’s closed source you can’t integrate other things into it as much and you’re limited in your and a lot of different things even in terms of SEO customizing it and different things you’re very dependent on them for it so oftentimes people there are newbies to wanting to build online business they get marketed something like wicks or Squarespace because they’re overwhelmed by maybe you know how technical WordPress or some well-liked else out there might be or they don’t even know about other options and so they end up buying it a lot of the clients people that I work with that have done that I’ve had to now help them get away from that and then transfer everything over to WordPress so it’s much better to use WordPress from the start it’s basically the platform that most sites today run on huge websites they use WordPress and so I highly recommend it again it’s a hundred percent free however if you are going to use WordPress to create a website in the blog you will need hosting and you will need a domain name ok I’m not going to mention me as one of the twelve but they’re they’re just some bonuses I’m going to give you guys so for hosting you can use something like Bluehost which I recommend which is really inexpensive hosting it’s about less than ten dollars a month I think you can get as low as three or four dollars a month okay for the hosting the hosting is what’s going to allow you to host your website all the files on your website etc you pay a monthly fee every website has to have hosting and Bluehost is just one of the most inexpensive options if you’re a little bit more advanced watching this and you already have a website that’s getting a lot of traffic and I’m talking about maybe over fifty thousand visitors a month then you might want to consider something called WP engine ok WP engine that’s what I currently use right now for project life mastery it’s a lot more expensive ok but it is awesome it is very secure they’ve got an awesome team and they’re they’re really designed for WordPress hosting as well ok so if you’re on a budget you’re brand new just starting up your website Bluehost with Bluehost they actually give you a free domain name ok which is your your website URL and if they have an easy WordPress install like like a few button presses that you do and you’ll install WordPress on your blog and I want to mention to a lot of people they feel they get overwhelmed by this I think it’s hard and trust me you don’t know what hard is if you think it’s hard to set up WordPress and hosting then you got to really learn what hard work is and get your fingernails dirty because when I got started online there was no WordPress there is no Bluehost it was learning HTML and hiring really expensive web designers you know that cost thousands of dollars to design a basic website today it’s never been as easy as it is today okay so I want you to understand that anyone could do it invest past a day you can learn WordPress get everything set up and have a website really by you know within a few hours from now even within like honestly within 30 minutes from now you could have a website up and running just with Bluehost and WordPress if you want it to bio domain and not use Bluehost for that then you would just use something like GoDaddy com I’m sure you’ve seen the advertisements for GoDaddy all calm and again I’m going to have a link to the blog post that that will have a list of these resources okay so this is just the most basic every online business needs to have a website again I recommend WordPress WordPress a lot of the other tools I’m going to share with you integrate with WordPress WordPress has different scenes which are designs and layouts that you can get for free or you can buy to add to your website to customize how you want the look and feel to be and there’s also plugins which are additional features that you can download for free or purchase they can add some additional features to your website okay so we’re press you are definitely going to need that number two is google analytics okay this is again this is a basic tool I’m going to get to some more advanced ones as we go Google Analytics is essential this is also a free tool you can get it just by going to google.com slash analytics and you can install this on any website out there it integrates this WordPress there’s WordPress plugins that you can get that can easily allow you to add Google Analytics or if you just go to google.com slash analytics you set it up for your website you can get a tracking code that you can take that code and you can put it on any page of your website and it will track it so this is an important tool because this will give you all the data for your website you want to start tracking as soon as possible because you’ve got to know whether or not people are even coming to your website you’re going to know what pages of your website that they’re visiting how much time they’re spending on your website what is the flow or the sequence that they go through how are you know what keywords are there searching for in the search engines to find your website which pages on the Internet are they coming from where are they from Google Analytics will give you all that data all that information okay so Google Analytics highly recommend that is what you need okay now the third tool really this is a series of tools I’m going to call them research tools research tools so with their online business whatever niche or market that you’re in you got to do research you go to identify what are people searching for in this market where are all the different keywords that are available or that people are searching for and there’s actually maybe a few tools that I’ll give you that I’d recommend the first one I’ll give you some free ones and paid ones is Google Keyword tool so Google Adwords that’s go to google.com slash Adwords that’s Google’s advertising platform that allow anybody to advertise on Google right and basically pick keywords well they have something called the Google Keyword tool that will allow you to research what keywords people are searching for and and how many people are searching for that every month on Google so that’s a really invaluable cool now this is a tool that’s free although Google makes it so that you have to sign up for an accountant they even want you to set up an advertisement first to be able to access the tool so they want it maybe if we make this tool available because they want people like you and I to actually advertise on their website however you could just set up an ad have it run and then just disable it you could set like a ten dollar budget disable the ad just so that you can have access to the tool okay so that’s a really valuable research tool another one would be keyword tool il keyword tool I oh I oh that can give you keywords on YouTube and other search engines as well it’s free although they do have a paid upgrade you want to upgrade to get more data that that can provide for you a paid tool would be longtail Pro longtail Pro that’s a software that can do some more advanced research for you especially if you really want to get into search engine optimization on your blog so you know if you want it to publish blog posts and content long tail Pro will help give you more deeper information if you’re one of those people that like to really know all the numbers and data and follow a certain system like that I’ll give you one more one more that is free slash paid it’s called buzzsumo Buster was awesome because what it does is you can put in a keyword on to the website and it will go to buzzsumo com it will give you all the top content relating to that topic okay so all the top content that’s already out there online and it’ll tell you which ones are the most popular ones which ones are the most shared which one’s the most liked it will give you all that data for it which helps you as a content creator online know what what headlines of what topics are really resonating with people online and so that helps you to be able to create content and make it better or use a similar headline and you know helps you just basically research before you create your content and do your marketing online okay so these are the research tools that recommend there might be more some deeper ones that you can get into but these are probably the best ones that are out there okay number four would be leadpages okay leadpages now on any website any internet marketer any online business you need to collect email addresses of people that are coming to your website or people under social media or consume your content or whatever it is and a lead page is leadpages is essentially a software that allows you to easily create landing pages also known as squeeze pages or opt-in pages which will allow you to basically have people come to the page offer something for free and then people can enter their name and email address to subscribe to be on your email list I’m sure you’ve seen these before online if you want an example of one go to project life mastery comm slash free course it’s actually by the way a free course that I have of seven ways that I make money online that have helped make me become an internet millionaire but if you go to that page that’s an example of a lead page okay it’s just a one one page that has usually a headline something that you’re giving away whether that’s a free gift two free course a free video series a free ebook a free report you’re giving away something and in exchange for that people enter their email address and they subscribe to your email list okay I like leadpages because they specialize in those types of pages there’s other tools I’m going to share with you as well but leadpages is really just good for those simple squeeze pages and they’ve got the best designs I find for that and that’s what I use in my business okay the next tool I recommend to you also integrates with leadpages and is essential for building your email list which is called a weather now Aweber is a software that allows you to collect emails it allows you to send email broadcasts to your email lists and it also helps you set up autoresponder emails so when people subscribe to your email list you could have a whole sequence of emails that go well that are automated that you pre-written in advance that get sent out to your email list okay so Aweber integrates with leadpages also integrates with some of the other tools and leadpages integrates with WordPress also and so they all kind of work together now there’s other there’s other email management software as they’re out there however when you’re choosing one you got to make sure that it is internet marketing friendly and it depends on what you’re really using it for and you got to make sure that whatever software you use has high deliverability because you can collect a lot of emails but when they’re sending up the email broadcast if the emails are going to people spam folders or they’re not getting sent out properly then you know it’s not going to be an effective service for you so a lot of people what I find is they get attracted to something like MailChimp right but because it’s free initially and then you have to pay extra if you want the autoresponders and other features they have the problem with MailChimp though is it’s not really internet marketing friendly I’ve used MailChimp before a lot of people they get in trouble with MailChimp if you’re doing an affiliate marketing and sending other affiliate links and they potentially get their their MailChimp account shut down closed so I haven’t had the best experience with them I personally don’t recommend them I would love to use something like active campaign however active campaign doesn’t allow affiliate marketing affiliate links to be in those emails so I like Aweber a web reduced it for years they’re reliable they’re been around for like over ten years in the industry and I think they’re the best of the best so that’s what I use recommend this does cost money okay either way it will cost money and leadpages cost money too so these are tools that do cost money and I only really recommend when you’re ready for it when you’re ready in terms of your actually getting traffic to your blog and website in that case that definitely is a worthwhile to invest the money and set these up because it’s going to make a huge difference for you because then you’re gonna be able to build a relationship with your subscribers and be able to market and promote other products or services that you might have okay so a weber I recommend I’ll give you another tool next tool is called optinmonster optinmonster often monsters great because it integrates with WordPress and it integrates the through Aweber but optinmonster basically allows you to have opt-in forms appear on your website or blog okay so it might be a pop-up right when people come to your blog and there’s a pop-up where you offer again a free gift you know something given a way for people to subscribe to your email list optinmonster allows you to do that also allows you if you want to have an opt-in form in your sidebar or maybe pop up at the footer or the bottom right corner of your website you can there’s a lot of different features that they have that allow you to do that so often monster is great it’ll make a huge difference to amount of subscribers you get your email list it’s pretty awesome it’s definitely been worthwhile the investment I think it’s just a one-time fee but it’s been one of my favorite tools that I’ve been using for the last few years ok let’s move on to number 7 number 7 tools that I benefits all I can recommend is click bundles click funnels now click bundles is basically a software created by Russell Brunson that allows you to create funnel pages for your online business so every online business consists of funnels where people come to maybe a squeeze page a landing page or a sales letter or sales page and then they they sign up for putting their email then there’s a page after that and then maybe you have an offer for them of a product or service and then they sign up for that and then you have another offer or essentially what it’s called as a funnel ok a funnel and click funnels makes it easy for you to create those funnels and put them all together now click funnels has similar features to something like you know leadpages and aweber but they’re a little bit different the reason why I use the different ones is because some of these software’s they specialize in one area whereas others they basically have some additional features but they’re not going to be that great so for example click funnels you can create landing pages for it but for me personally I just don’t think there is attractive or is easy to set up as using something like leadpages now if you didn’t want to use leadpages you don’t have to you can just use quick bundles ok so you don’t have to you could just eliminate this tool but for me personally in my business I like to use leadpages and then complement it with click bundles I like to just use click funnels more for sales pages primarily they suck with membership websites okay I have a membership website with quick bundles where people sign up and they can access some of the content if you have like a really basic thing that you’re selling like an e-book or you know just one deliverable or maybe a course that has like three modules or three videos click bundles could be good for that but for me with my business that the big courses that I have it just doesn’t really suit our needs but nonetheless clickfunnels can be great click bundles also has an email and email management but again it’s not nearly as good as a weber and so we don’t use that for our business so again click bundle has a lot of features like membership and landing pages and an email but and even an affiliate program but I just find they’re not not the best for there’s better options that you just want to get you know really good of that but again depending on where you’re at again if you’re brand new click bundles can be great click bundles is more expensive I pay 300 dollars a month for click funnels they do have cheaper plans too but again it does depend on your needs but for my business we benefit from all all of these tools together ok ok next tool then I have for you if you want to create a membership website this is what I’d recommend so what I recommend to use if you are creating a membership website where basically people buy something from you and then they have a members area that they log into they access the products the courses or whatever information you have I’d recommend using wishlist member can wishlist member wishlist member is the best that I found and come across for membership websites they have amazing functionality a lot of really cool features that are really beneficial again I’ve used click funnels I’ve used kajabi I’ve used a member wishlist is the best wish list is a wordpress plugin ok so it integrates with WordPress so what I like to do is I’d like these click funnels for my funnel and then I use WordPress and wishlist for my members area okay so when people sign up from that product wishlist you know and WordPress they work together in that way and then with which list which list is just a members membership but another option too and then oh I’m giving you guys a lot but again this we’re going more advanced here you know this is the basic stuff this is for those that are more advanced I’m giving you guys stuff that took me a long time to learn by the way I’ve spent I can’t tell you how much time and money trying to do membership websites and click funnels to finally learn the better way of doing it right so hopefully I can save you guys some time and some money and stress and it’s kind of sure if you guys would not found because you know we’ve got I’ve got a chain in place where we’re using this stuff every optimize press is what I like to use with WordPress and with wishlist optimized press has different themes for WordPress and the themes are landing pages and sales pages and even membership you know themes and layouts and designs and everything too so I primarily use optimize press for the you know for our members area the you know the design the look the feel of it just making it attractive and everything you can use optimize press for sales letters for landing pages to okay optimize press and wishlist members a one-time fee so it can be cheaper to use that then using click funnels because click funnels you have to pay every month whereas you know this is a one-time fee it’s not going to be as easy as click funnels is but you know it can still accomplish the same thing you know a lot of the tools that I use like I just click bundles just because it’s faster like I can do the same thing with WordPress optimize press wishlist member and leadpages but click funnels just makes it faster and there are a few additional features that are useful like the split testing that they have and a few different features like that it’s make it easier and faster as well so if you want ease and speed it cost more money if you want more do it yourself and more physical labor is involved and there’s cheaper options that are available for you ok the wishlist member optimized press that’s what we personally use for that number nine would be something to collect payments every online business need to collect money right we’ve got to make sure that you’re making money in your business in that case there’s PayPal there’s stripe okay so PayPal stripe Clickbank jvzoo I use all of those to collect payments from PayPal is great for you know receiving a high pile of high transaction payment so maybe a couple hundred dollars couple thousand dollars even you know PayPal is great for that PayPal does have some limits though and doesn’t necessarily integrate with some of these things stripe is great as well so stripes can integrate we click bundles and integrate with WordPress you know all these different things to collect payments and then and then basically when someone signs up and pays you can set it up so they immediately get access to the members areas you don’t have to manually do it it’s just all automated on your behalf Clickbank and jvzoo Clickbank is what I primarily use to sell my products through online they have an amazing Affiliate Network where I can attract affiliates to promote my products as well JV is do is similar to that but I don’t like it as much it’s not for me personally it’s not as good as Clickbank although I like to have both just for protection in my business so in case something happens to Clickbank I’ve got jvzoo funnel setup so you’re always going to have a backup like that in your business again a little bit more advanced but things that you eventually learn to protect your business so that you have multiple ways that people can promote and then GVSU has an affiliate network too so that other people they can promote and sell that way as well okay next next tool that I got for you guys I know I’m going a little bit long but again I want to give you guys a lot of information with me HootSuite or there’s also buffer to HootSuite is great for social media for basically posting on Facebook and Twitter and the different social media platforms instead of having to manually do it in all these different places you can use to tweet to schedule everything you can schedule all your social media posts in advance to create them in advance and they all get scheduled out okay so whose suite is really beneficial for that there’s also buffer and it’s again a smarter way of doing things I think they have a free plan let me also have a pick up PD plan – okay number twelve dot for you guys and this one is more of a recent one that we’ve been using but it is awesome it is called meets Edgar meets Edgar and again I’m going to have a blog post in the description click on through you can see all the different resources I have I might even add more we’ll see but me Edgar is awesome because what it allows you to do if you have a blog is it basically takes content that you’ve already published in the past and repurposes it and we post it on social media so if you’ve got a blog a website you’re spending a lot of time creating content blog posts videos whatever it might be you’re spending a lot of time to create that you want to make sure that you get that in front of as many people as possible and I’ve got like hundreds maybe even thousands of blog posts and videos that have published over the last five years and some of its really really really really good that just kind of buried away it’s hid and people don’t really see it and so me Edgar allows you to go back through and it’s an automated process where it republish is a lot of that content it shares it on your social media okay so it’s pretty awesome my team we’ve been using it now for like the last few months and it is pretty awesome highly recommend it and I actually – I went from ten to twelve and that was number 11 number 12 give you guys one more tool this tool is also something that I think is essential to every online business would be closed on like crazy egg okay crazy ake cray da there’s there’s other tools out there like this but basically the last area really is optimization crazy egg is a software that you install on your website that installs a heat map and will give you a lot of data information about how people are using your website because when you have a website when you have a business a big part of that is always testing and optimizing it always split testing trying to improve things and get feedback for people that are go to your website so you can make it better and better so we use crazy egg to basically see how people are visiting project like master comm where they’re clicking what you know what parts of the website are they really honing in on and that helps us with our redesign so that we can optimize that make it better so that it ultimately converts more makes us more money so crazy egg is great for that if you could also I’d also include into its split testing there’s tools like visual website optimizer that we’ve used in the past and it can all have a link to that that allows you to split test your sales letters your landing pages and everything the reason why I don’t really recommend that much anymore is that if you’re using click funnels or if you’re using leadpages they odds they have built-in split testing capabilities even often monster too so you can basically test five different landing pages you know you could change the headline a little bit and it will give you the data to see which one’s converting the best for you so you can optimize it and get more subscribers more sales and really optimize your business okay so I know I gave you guys a lot I gave you guys more than 12 tools but these are the ones that I think are the best I use them every day in my business they’ve been hugely beneficial for us of course it does depend on the business that you’re in some of them might be more relevant if you’re more beginner if you’re more advanced you know the business that you’re in as well there might be more specific tools that could help based on that so if you’re publishing on Amazon maybe a tool like k optimizer k optimizer com will help you with your publishing if you’re selling on Amazon maybe it’s jungle Scout or AMD tracker those are tools that I’d recommend for you there as well but for the most part regardless of your business I think these are all tools that an online business consists of that can benefit you know benefit your website your subscribers your sales your members area you know they tie into I think almost every business out there so hopefully you
