business lessons and I have learned killer over the years and I was can I’ve done an article on this as well but I got a great article from entrepreneur.com which I thought was really good so this is really kind of from Napa so the king of essence I’ve learned and Corey it’s everything that I’ve learned as well number one the number one business lesson is and the right people are worth everything the right people are worth everything to you and we’re talking about can all gamete so if your business was talking about people that work with you we’re talking about collaborators we’re talking about people that buy your programs your products your coaching and everything else as well we had and just to give you an example we’ve got some blowing people amazing people in the widf type and these are the people that can apply the program the jilted Euler formula comp program also the pilot program and what I found is when people join they can a program they join a group the secret group that we’ve got as well but without me asking or anything like that everybody is just helping each other everybody is in there and they’ve got a somebody’s got a question everybody will dive in and just answer that question and just help each other out to support each other there’s no rivalry there’s no competition and they’re they’re just there to support each other and I found that the right key people within ydf tribe are just doing brilliantly and they’re and they’re really helping themselves and they’re helping other people and they’re helping me at the same time as well unwittingly and the nor can I realizing it but they helping we’ve got likes of can Laurie Emmett we’ve got Kathy Baker Amazon as well Eva Sano just says just to name a few people that send Steve Steven web and there’s loads of people and they’re just helping each other out and it’s just amazing and to seen I love it and I get messages from people who I’ve missed something Laurie Emmett for example Jen to me Cathy Becca then to me she wrote Tim a lot when I was on alive yesterday honesty whitey live show and I was alive and I didn’t know I was life and she wrote to me and just said do you know you don’t live and which was embarrassing Burton day okay I think I am said I was quite cool am so the right people worth everything and I won’t also want to mention as well within that group I found a lot of people to work with and who I work with as well so why I’d done when I first started the group I was just gonna end there can answering questions but find the group grew on its own and people and their start to help you till then I was watching people doing this and one in particular was Maria Flynn and Maria and was just brilliant and the group as where other people as well they’re just fantastic Maria but would get on help people and can I make quick videos or she would jump on skype with other people for maybe half an hour just to walk them through something because she understood the program for the benefits beyond how it was helped in her as well she’s now grown to two hundred and forty five thousand followers on her page and but I was kind of watching can I mean Malia what she was doing in the group as well and as I was watching her I just realized how authentic she was and she did things with integrity she was honest and everything else as well so I asked her to be the community manager and after a while and play soon I realized she’s got a lot of skills and networking skills can skills and even the technical side she doesn’t think she’s very technical but she has if she doesn’t know she’ll figure it out using Google mr. gooks am always helps and now she’s the operations manager and a problem couldn’t do without Ambria no to be honest haven’t been really honest Maria does a hell of a lot in the background so would all be so much harder and that is what I mean by the right people are worth everything two years well same with collaborations and business as well even when you’re interviewing people and stuff so find the right people and you can grow your business that we as well number two you’re gonna feel there’s some things and that’s cool you have to expect to feel there’s some things but as long as you’re learning and you’re not making the same mistakes over and over and over and do it again then that’s when a failure is fine that’s when a failure becomes a success because you’re learning from it so if you feel anything if you can do a launch or something and it doesn’t get anywhere and I’ve done that a handful two times myself it doesn’t go anywhere it just means you go back to the drawing board doesn’t mean say your content is clap it doesn’t mean say anything else clap it could be you’ve not done the marketing you’ve not learned enough marketing skills to market this properly and there’s lots of different reasons but as long as you’re learning from what you’re feeling at and then it doesn’t become as not a failure anymore it becomes a success because you build upon that and and that’s can I work successes success is really just a stairway of failures until you reach the pinnacle and you don’t you never never reach the pinnacle to be honest because there’s always something more you could do there’s always something better you could do as well so failure is inevitable but you can’t turn it into a success so if you think of a stairway you’re gonna get failure you step up failure failure failure success failure success failure success and it’s just steps up to success so really that’s what it is if you think about it it’s just stairways to success that’s where you feel yourself so learn from them don’t be disheartened but you’re going to be disheartened but try not to think about it too much and believe yourself too much and most of all don’t give up if you’re feeling even if you filled a couple times in succession still do not give up and if there’s one big thing I’ve learned is just never give up just keep going you just got to come at it from a different angle and if something’s not working try a different angle and try and get some help from other people as well like the right people as well number three time is your most valuable resource and I’ve learned this when I was doing coaching as I started coaching business coaching a couple years ago actually and I took on ten clients and I thought this is brilliant it’s going to be Gouda can help more people and I can get more money in for the business as well and grow the business that way but quickly realized that the time I’m spending with coaching clients one-on-one it’s not really that it’s not a good business model to have I don’t think I don’t think unless you’ve got really really high end business clients no I charge two thousand dollars a month I’m just going to be upfront two thousand dollars a month for coaching and and that’s what I charge but I didn’t back then I would say I think is $1400 per month so I’m taking on ten clients that’s fourteen thousand dollars per month but that’s taken up around about 20 to 25 hours of my week if I’m am speaking to one-on-one coaching clients and every week and that’s what I do so it wasn’t worth my 10 or 14 thousand dollars a lot of money but I’d rather spend out on the business on the product and can a groaner and doing talks and seminars and stuff so your time is very very valuable so keep your time secret and whenever you have for starting out when people ask you put podcast interviews when I ask you to do an interview online a live interview or something like that you may get lost of request to do that but pick and choose the ones that are going to be valuable for you and your business and so because your time really is valuable and you could be spending that time doing other things when you’re doing a podcast interview might take 2 or 3 hours to prepare and the back-and-forth conversations that you have as well number 4 communication can prevent or fix almost anything when we go something happening in a business we tend to kind of keep it ourselves and if something happens and we don’t know how it affects or something happens when somebody else is involved we thank right okay I’m just going to go and fix it myself but we have to be it find a way to communicate with people in order to help them fix the problem or communicate and just see okay how did this problem occur how did this am situation have and if we can communicate effectively then these problems are not going to happen in the future who is that we don’t communicate and we just go and infects everything ourselves for example then the other person is never going to learn they’re never going to learn how to fix the problems that they’re creating and it’s not just about problems it’s about effectively communicating with people that are on a different stage I am a level above you for examples about communication that way as well so communication in all facets of the business is really really vital and can FEX can I almost every problem as well if you have a problem in your business communications somebody else can help you take that and that could be through coaching but you’ve got to find the right coaching client and that’s all done or the culture coach and that’s all done through communication the right communication the right questions the right thought processes so number five is a big one perfection is the enemy of progress perfection is the enemy of progress you can never ever ever ever ever ever ever get a product perfect or a service perfect you’re never going to be perfect if you’re trying to write a book if you’re trying to clear a product if you’re trying to create a website you’re never ever going to get it perfect so if you realize that and understand that you’ll quickly know that okay I’m never going to get paid for perfect soul mate so a pillow just now so have a minimal Viable Product or a Minimum Viable website so that’s just a basic website put it out there if you’re trying clear website get a book written as quick as possible do the first draft as quick as possible don’t try and perfect it on the way get a product out there as quick as possible don’t try and perfect put it out there as quick as possible and then you can update it as you go along because you’ll quickly get feedback from other people and they’ll tell you where it needs to be can it enhanced almost so perfection is definitely the enemy of progress and I’ve done this this is something I can intuitive we realized over the years whenever I can I wrote on a book this is how I first started writing ebooks and making mp3s I would just put out there and I will get lots of emails back saying you’ve got spelling mistake compared to twelve you’ve got this the formatting is kind of gone off and page 17 so I would fix all those problems and release version 2 and just put that out there and silver and thank everybody for writing to me so real honestly efforts one of the big lessons that can I’ve learned and people come to me about saying all my products not quite good enough for I don’t quite know what to do there or it’s not ready yet it’s never going to be ready if you’re waiting for protection because it has no time and to get protection there is no perfection number success all ideas must be rooted and practicality and what I mean by that is if you have any ideas for your business safer product for example it’s got to be useful for people it’s not just about what you like as we are pure if you are trying to clear an amazing video as well for example that’s not really a great idea if you don’t have the tools to make that amazing video you don’t have the resources to make the amazing video so all your ideas must be rooted in practicality as well so when you have an idea for your business think about it and just say would I be able to do that if I got the resources for that have I got the the team to help me with that I’ve got the right people trained about me to help with that can I do it myself have I got the right skills to do it can I pay somebody to do it for example so any business idea and and needs to be rooted in practicality as well but most of the ideas that we’re coming up with to try ebooks for example we can do that ourselves to create a website we can do that ourselves or we know somebody that can do em for us as well create a product we can do that ourselves if we can we’ll learn the skills needed because this is a thing about online business you can you might not have the skills but you could quickly learn the skills you need to create an mp3 for example to create a membership site for example you could take a day and learn all those skills to do it yourself or you somebody else to do if you think it’s going to be worth the time and number seven is the last one but not least and as there is always more you can do to keep on learning you got to keep up with learning everything that you’re doing online everything that and I’m can’t guilty of this as well so I’m killer I teach about Facebook how to grow as primarily Facebook it’s about a social media presence but primarily Facebook because that is the biggest platform out there and it’s going to be for the next five ten years with everything that’s coming out and I need to keep up to date with what Facebook were doing and face because changing that much the change in so many things and not only that with Facebook as well pod to do is a release something but they only release it to certain parts of the world but I still have to try and keep up with that so there’s new things coming out all the time with Facebook you have to keep up with your knowledge same with their marketing in particular you need to keep up to date with your marketing skills read books on it can go online and can follow people who are really good at marketing and and who keep their knowledge up today as well the person is going to fail in business if you could succeed in business and do amazing for a year and you think right I’ve cracked it I know what I’m doing and you bring out the same product all the time you keep doing the same things you were doing before you’ll see it quickly same side and don’t know because you’re not keeping up to date with what’s current and the online world is changing so so much so you need to keep up to date with your learning as well and I know you do now because you’re here I am just learning different things every day and picking up we nuggets hopefully nuggets of gold and so you are do not just know just by simply being here you do not just know so that’s the seven lessons in business I hope it’s been useful aim so I’m just going to go to some questions or comments and see who we have and okay and Kathy Baker your your Facebook live turned out to be an absolute impaired loved Stephen perfectly perfect yeah Kathy was talking about the Facebook life when I didn’t realize it was own life yesterday on the CYT live show am I’m glad I didn’t do anything like I don’t know I think it it’s weird actually because I talk to myself when I’m walking away I just talk to myself and so I’m glad didn’t really ever cursorial away I’ve picked my nose or do something stupid and so a ton died okay Kathy but I do thank you for your message if I if I didn’t do that I just still been doing out for another seven minutes as well and could have thought scheduled don’t know I had to event life because my mind was on other things so didn’t know what the hell is doing am Sheila Fletcher green your see like TV a yesterday was glowing Stephen always start with his own just seein yeah I don’t think I’ll be singing again am Sheriff above was funny when I watched it back I didn’t watch it all I don’t like watching myself on camera but when I watched her back I just thought shit everybody I planned this is a big lesson for me to number one lesson the right people are worth everything networking partners and pain people who must upgrade your struggle Stephen you’ve taught me so much yeah am you’ve told me a lot of lot of lessons in that field as well particular I’m not good at networking and to be honest and Maria’s brought a lot of people in and to get a wide the air from getting ydf kind of interviews and stuff like that as well which we need to only to get started back up or not and just books and other things Bob we’re going to do we’ve got a new version of Wirecast coming out I am very soon so why cast are going to be able to you’re gonna bring in other people to do interviews on and instead of using and was a be live TV so I forgot the name of just escaped me instead of using be live TV so I’d prepared to use Wirecast because it can use the HD camera for Wirecast as well and I can’t do that with be live TV important but be live TV is blowing as well yeah so that is a big lesson in Maria and I’ve learned a lot from you as well and Callie Radner I’ve been injured for three years I’ve thought about speaking and cottaging I could live streaming bring in an income I spent 23 years of housecleaning and no hormones but through pee and I think I’ve learned lessons that can help others stay encouraged County I am your live streaming is not necessarily going to play on an income well it could if you one of the things I would do as a business model if you just if all you do is think about live streaming for example is interview other people so for example I interviewed Russell Brunson when he had his book coming out expert secrets so why I did I interviewed Russell and we got thousands of Kenneth people watching the live show and what we did is we gave them a special offer at the end with a link it was an affiliate link to and to get russell brunson skinny boot cakes expert secrets and so when somebody signed up to buy the book they would then offered the reporter funnel they were they enough with the click funnels product the relay enough were offered other products and I actually made money from that so I think from that one life probably made about three or four thousand dollars no it doesn’t come all in the one deer comes throughout when people can watch the replay and stuff like that so that’s one way of doing it that’s one business model for live streaming as well so if somebody’s offering something a new book or a new affiliate product or something like that you could make money on the back end from affiliate sales but think about the content it’s got to be great content for your readers and viewers first first and foremost that’s got to be the first thing on your mind and then secondly you think about okay how could I monetize this without being too in-your-face and that’s how I’ve done I’ve done it with Dean glass he also as well and don’t know Terry Cole and she had a kind of failure as well and then terview people just because I like those people as well and so that is one way of doing it for live streaming anybody a flame failure is good for you a Belgium into muscle I think yeah definitely it does at the time when you feel is something I’ve had a product launch and cold mind alchemy a couple years ago and that totally flopped but I didn’t flop and I say I just plopped financially so I pull off time and effort into a flopped to rob financial but I got thousands and thousands of email subscribers promit and it didn’t really harm the business and but I was really can own a boat and embarrass the boat to then I look to the numbers and thought okay I’ve not made any money from I probably lost a couple of thousand dollars but I’ve gained Pro with thirty thousand email subscribers from it and I could bring them into the fold so to speak into my tribe this is what I was doing old personal availment stuff I am so yeah failure can be really good once you start to think about it at the time as a bit che to be honest but then when you think about him just think well do you know what I’ve done this I produced a product I’ve got 30 thousand email subscribers I’ve got thirty thousand new people in my tribe that are just there to be and can I can give them content I can make sales as well if they’ve got can have other good personal development products as well so there’s a lot of lessons and failure definitely big ten and Maria time I I think I’m always measuring my projects and things and how the way with efficiency and effectiveness that’s one thing you blow you now have to admit Maria I’m no good at that at all I can’t go with the gut and my killer instinct and what I do in the mornings and stuff is all laid by okay I think it’s care almost prioritized in my mind and I kind of go with that so Nick tail no need to work in the webinar for example the live training for the slaves and stuff like that and then I work on that and then something else will come up and I work on that so I need to maximize that much more because I’m not good at that although of a much better than the walls at the beginning I used to flip from different things and write an e-book to write a blog post doing this doing that do not never finishing a lot of the projects so you are that’s one thing you’re really good up and Leticia Garcia who are known her to be here oh it’s my honor that you’re here Leticia I really appreciate you coming in and watching the shoulder I’m really appreciate it and carry weight now do you think your voice and looks drawing or ton of people from chinning end good question actually em that has a good question to thank your voice in Luke’s drawing or ton of people from chin again I think with the message that you’ve got is going to be the most important thing but I guess initially you looks I do not never thought about that to be honest Carrie that’s one only to think about actually I guess just being human I guess it might put people off if your voice is glitchy or something like that as tall as two layers turn your face or something and I guess with the looks I don’t know what does everybody else think that’s a really good question Kelly we’ll just let me know what everybody else thinks about that Carrie and redness asking do you think your voice and looks join or ton of people from tuning in human nature would see if you’re really good-looking for example is going to draw people and it’s just Kenny German nature but if you could look in that subjective so so I don’t know that’s a good question Ambria plan perfection it quickly traps me into a corner and watch my progress recently and yes say no more Maria you know what I’m talking about as your product I’m okay we’ll leave over Lori Emmett and that’s one of the biggest things I have had to overcome in something you have helped me with so much Sivan perfectionism doesn’t pay the bills no it doesn’t pay the bills that’s a really good phrase perfectionism doesn’t pay the bills and just get something out there as quick as possible and then minimal Viable Product MVP get it out there as quick as possible and can it enhance it along the way so you play get version 2 version 3 version 4 that’s why the iPhone as no one pours of the iPhone 7 and Galaxy s8 now for the Android so they know it’s not perfect they know they’re going to produce another one next year so they can always enhance that and all which is that kind of thing as where we got the iPhone 7 9 and you have the iPhone 6 5 4 3 2 1 because it’s no perfect but always enhancing making it better Dorothy limas in great learning thank you very much Dorothy Lord skews as in as well you can bootstrap it and just do it for free so Cathy I would see that as an excuse you can entail in yourself and be I’m just gonna and be honest here give you a week kick up the arse is that an excuse that you can I’m using for yourself and you’ve not gone enough kind of money to publisher so if there’s an e-book you don’t need any money to publish anything nowadays online and it’s just kind of time and effort that you need for marketing it and kind of organically by immediacy and learn to feel and feel fast yes best way to feel is feeling fast lorna Francesco he’ll also thank you for doesn’t like me or to me either and because these people they really don’t matter we don’t know them the no part of a family and playing circle they’re not part of a killing business circle not part of the tape so it doesn’t really matter if people are as a fact of life people are not going to like you people are going to like you I am simply because of who you are as a person and so yeah I did I totally agree with that and that the right people will be attracted to you because of the energy that you’re playing the energy that you’re given out your authenticity and your genuineness as well people are going to be attracted to that the right people are going to be attracted to the wrong people are going to be turned off by it and that’s cool you just don’t watch again and so we’ve got to think about that as well that’s a big thing that a lot of people get hung up on like all this person said a negative comment about me and but they don’t think about 100 people that said positive comments about them when I get a negative comment I’ll just delete it I don’t even really think about it at all because I know there’s people that it’s not going to like me in a school and Kari is saying the message me captivate more than the turn off or on yeah hopefully hope without comes across as a message and the kind of genuine and authenticity that you’ve got in there as well and people can see that people can sense the energy as well Sara M Cervantes as saying I say yes because unfortunate people judge you first by your looks all the time yeah birth there was if there was what I would perceive to be an aqua pear and milk and I know what we think is ugly for as ugly as Iran what but not so good-looking would be a bit what if somebody was coming on and doing a life and I perceived him as not so good-looking but they had a brilliant message they’re great energy have you ever seen somebody that’s a viewpoint on – have you ever seen somebody somebody’s picture or that you’ve seen them without them talking or anything and all you’ve seen as a kind of face and candlelit upper body or something and you perceived them as not good-looking and it might turn you off but then once you get to know the personality and where when their energy comes across and they’re you perceived can in that enthusiasm and the passion that they’ve got that somehow the looks change the look storm physical change but your perception of the looks change as well you have a lost art happens in your can your social life as well you thought some day wasn’t that good-looking at first but then once you got to know the personality and have passion that they are and how knowledgeable they are intelligent they’re the looks seem to change and actually the arts who think they’ll actually quite good-looking purely because it appears now to that energy the passion and enthusiasm the intelligence and everything else as well so that’s what it’s like online as well does that make sense I don’t know if you’ve ever ever experienced that I don’t know I would imagine you would have a Manjula delaila you draw people in because of your Scottish accent excellent and that that works that’s cool that’s cool I’ll keep on being squash and three points thank Stephen says Jayne Atkinson and sada as saying even by your WT because I was in bigger and know that I lost some weight or your weight even by your weight because I was bigger and know that I lost some weight I get more attention ah that’s interesting as well that’s interesting I suppose if you’re teaching people to lose weight and you’re back then that’s going to turn people off but if you’re teaching people cannot be business and you bake that beat or definites your message it would imagine and your enthusiasm and your passion am Laetitia gosh dude you’re a genius team yes apparently my genius because I talk to myself I’m saying to myself hey Emma Costello’s in house welcome to you edit good to have you here buddy and salads interrupts the problem bouncing around ideas like Udit I need to stick to one and dedicate my energy to that year I do animal rescue my passion but there’s no money there that has this money and everything if you think about it Sarla imagine you done lives but examples you had some day follow you around with a camera or something even a phone and you would rescuing dogs and you see them before and after picture and you then sold on your Facebook page for example you then affiliated yourself with a famous pet store or something and you give 50% of the commission of 25% of the commission and you then are on a live show for example you review products from kena pet stores for caring for kind of dogs for example you could make money that way as well you could get sponsorship from a pet store as well for doing lives as well so the rest money and now there’s money and everything you’ve just got to think outside the box and that’s all a few ideas can I have given you there but yeah stick with one idea and see it through to fruition until it’s seen through to the end and that’s a problem I had at the beginning as well I had so many ideas for kind of what to do online for online business I would start a project and get the next shiny new object then go the next shiny new object and never really finish anything but make sure you finish something because when you finish something even if it’s a product or you look at regarded as a shared product in the end you’ve learned to start and finish a project I mean you learn to start and finish you’ll get into that mainstay of starting and finishing so it does it does really help when you have one idea and stick to Emily a friend to those who complain about me being online I asked him to please block me yes actively saying to people wasn’t would you mind blocking me from your Facebook page or from your Facebook newsfeed I think that would be quite coup and to do that I am Leticia Garcia Maria Flynn I love your tribe as do all of us and Kathy Baker people screw quickly and are superficial they will be determined by visual looks but those who read energy they will be drawn in to check the message has a really
