heyguys esteem monsters tournaments are now live and over six thousand dollars is available in upcoming tournaments now there's a variety of different tournaments you can enter and there are all different levels so even if you only have the starter set you'll find a tournament that's just right for you but what is steam monsters steam monsters is the new breed of digital collectible card games on the blockchain where you own the card play with the card and then trade the card to make money so before we have a look at the Steam Monsters tournaments let's learn a little bit more about steam monsters so you need a starter set to get started you can buy via promo code credit card or PayPal or even crypto and you can buy booster packs to help level up your cards now there's also a marketplace where you can buy cards for cryptocurrency and the price varies depending on the rarity of the card you've also got your collection page where you can filter on different splinters and different rarities so you have easy access to your collection then when you feel comfortable go ahead and click on the battle tab and play in one of the Steam monster leagues you'll start in the novice league and each time you improve your rating your move up another level and each time you move up a level and into a different league you'll be earning more season reward cards the diamond one it's sixty cards at the end of a two week season but if you can reach champion League and champion one that's going to be a hundred and fifty reward cards that you can add to your collection so let's check out these tournaments yeah steam monster tournaments are now automated and you can find a tournament just about every hour of the day they have this pretty cool filter interface that lets you check between the different games the different events and the different rule sets so you can find a tournament that's just right for you and best of all you can even create your own tournaments and this is perfect for sponsors who want to get their product in front of as many eyeballs as possible but I'll cover that more in another video so let's go ahead and take a look at one of these tournaments you just click on the View button and then you can see what the tournament is about it'll have a date and how many players are currently entered and it will tell you what the prizes are so you can also go ahead and click on the arena tab and it will tell you how many hours before the game starts and the battle tab will show you the players that have entered the tournament already so you can see what your competition is going to be like so let's go back to the details tab this is where you would enter asti monsters tournament just click the enter button and you're in and once you've registered you can also go down and add the tournament to your favorite calendar so that's pretty cool feature and once you've registered you'll also need to check in 15 minutes before a tournament starts so I've already checked in on our tournament already so let's go over the tournament's page and filter down on tournaments in progress so you'll see here that I've already entered one of these tournaments so let's click on entered and we can see that round one is in progress now the details of this tournament are it's sponsored by a mean a it's a great way to get some free gold I'll I've done a video on this before so I'll just add a card so you can learn a little bit more about minae now this particular event has rewards of a 100 steam for the top 5 places which is pretty cool that works out to be about $50 per prize plus they're also giving away a $100 voucher for 24 karat gold so that's a pretty cool prize too the best thing is is that it's only a Bronze level tournament so you don't actually need a lot of leveled up cards to play so I've been given a Buy in the qualifier round so I can wait until round 2 before I start playing so it's a great time to learn about who your competition is and what sort of teams they are playing and you can also look at games from the battles tab as well now if you're wondering what a bronze level tournament is well you can click on these icons the top it'll tell you that the bronze-level tournament has a maximum of a level three commoner cards level two rare cards level two epic cards and a level one legendary cards now events also can eliminate some of these cards too but in this case all cards can be used okay it looks like round two has begun so let's hit the battle button and get into this battle so from this battle screen you can see your competition and what sort of teams they've used it also tells us a bit about the rules of the combat and the mana cap of eighteen so first of all when you're selecting a team you'll want to go ahead and select a summoner now the summoner determines which splinter you can actually use so I'm having a look at the fire splinter and trying to work out which card is going to be best now you can also unselect the summoner and choose a different one to see what monsters they can summon and if you have some neutral cards they can be used with all splinters so I might choose a different summoner yet again this is a dragon summoner and not only can you summon cards from the Splinter you've chosen but you've also have access to dragon cards plus the neutral cards as well so they're pretty powerful summoners now the thing you want to keep in mind is that the time is running out you have two minutes to select a team so I don't have a lot of time to go and I'm still trying to work this out so it's not going to be a very successful team I don't play in the bronze League too often so I'm not really sure what abilities these level cards will have but let's see what happens okay so I'm changing my mind again and using the ally ana natura which gives me a plus 1 health and I might see if I can add a couple of these neutrals as well so three seconds left on the clock you want to make sure you beat that timer because you'll actually surrender if you don't submit a team okay so let's see what the battle looks like here so the way that the teams are laid out are the same way that you selected them so the top one is the first monster that plays and usually you have your attack monsters first now I'm not going to go into the full details on how to play steam monsters here but I can clearly see that he's not only got a front line attack he's also got a second row attack as well and because he used a dragon summoner that has a plus one melee attack I think he's going to pretty much win this game so it looks like I might have miss played this one but the good thing about tournaments is usually they're best of three so you still got a couple of chances to get a win all right so you just go here then close the game and then hit battle again now we'll see what format we get for this game so this is a melee mayhem game and it's also a 20 mana cap so we'll go ahead and select a team for this battle all right this time I'm going to go with these entire because it's quite a powerful team at a low level so let's hopefully we get this right this time now melee mayhem it means that the melee teams can attack from any position so usually you want a few of them in and the Centaur will give the opposition a minus one so hopefully that will help as well now I'm just going to have to work out how to sort these teams out but I've got one more manner left so we'll just go ahead and use this guy which will just slow down the opposition but maybe I'll do some last-minute changes and use one of these neutral cards because that might help me in the battle so just hit on a battle and let's just go I think we're right but I'm gonna change my mind again and go with Mal Rick inferno because there's a really powerful card called the exploding dwarf and normally he packs a little bit of damage so maybe we have a better luck with this particular team running out of time again it always helps to play a few bronze level games if you're going to play a bronze level tournament just so you get the hang of which teams you should be playing so let's go ahead and that battle button and try our luck so needs wait for the opposition to submit their team and the game begins so in this case they've gone ahead with a fire summoner as well so let's just see what team they put together it's very similar to ours except they've got a sneek card which will attack our back card which is fine because he's got self heal and yeah well let's just see what happens I didn't realize my Hydra doesn't have a lot of power and at this point I'm thinking I'm pretty much set I should be fine but all of a sudden then you realize the power of this game and from a winning position it's quite easy to lose so it does take a little bit of skill of figuring out how to place team monsters but that's all part of the fun so unfortunately I've lost twice in a best-of-three so I'm out of the tournament but today was just showcasing these steam monsters automated tournaments I hope you liked this video and if you want to get into steam monsters I'll put a link down below don't forget you need to buy a starter pack to get started and just playing in the leagues to start with just to get the feel of the game and when you're ready go and find a tournament and give it a try if you've just bought a starter pack really a novice tournament is what you're looking for but then you might get hooked on steam monsters and want to upgrade your cards so in the next few videos I'm going to cover steam monsters in a little bit more depth so don't forget to Like and subscribe and until next time it's bye for now [Music]
