hello it's chris and welcome back to the advanced training in this video i'm going to show you how you can spy on your competitors there's actually a tool for that as well but one of the things you already know how to do is you know you can go over to being and let's just say you're running a survey offer you can go type in surveys and you can see your competitors ads which is great right you can see exactly what they're running let's just click on one here okay so here's one of our competitors that's what we don't know is we don't know every add that this competitor is running we don't know every ad copy we don't know all their keywords there is a tool that lets you find that so the tool is called espionage and here's what it looks like it's there's going to be a link below if you want to grab this as well you can actually do a couple of searches for free but you would have to upgrade to the full version in order to do unlimited so let's just show you how it works in action if this was your competitor you can basically copy their domain name and I'm going to bring it over here just to show you this is what it's been oz will look like when you land on the page you click on start spying okay and it gives you some pretty good data it tells you how many keywords this this person is using so they're using 297 keywords we can go to PPC keywords and if we go they're not running anything in Google but we are they're running in bing and yahoo obviously and it kind of tells you approximately what their bidding their average the average search volume of each keyword and the position and how many days it's been seen so basically gives you a bunch of data you can actually go through and sort all this data you'd have to be logged in to see more than the full data see it only shows you a little bit if you could add they're using 103 different ads on being that just goes to show you that they use a lot of different variations you know the reason why the reason why you would create so many ad groups and being a way to think about this when you find a campaign that's converting the reason why you want to create a bunch of ads is you want to get as much traction as possible right because there's a lot of searches per day and being is going to show your ad that is the most relevant based on the key words the user searches so if the user types in I want to make $35 now we're online and your ad doesn't have anything about the thirty-five dollars in it but this ad does this ad is more relevant so that's why they have numbers in here one hundred percent free they have a bunch of different variations and then you can actually see their best performing apps as well you can see their competitors if you go to PPC once again in bing yahoo you can see all the competitors like SurveyMonkey swag bucks and some of these guys are using 16,000 keywords so here i am here you here is the iced tea anoj if you want to grab it there's the link below and then the pricing all you really need to do is start up with the $59 level if you're going to get it and you just upgrade as you need it I'm always like I already said I we only start with what you need in this case you only need the $59 level and then just upgrade as you need it if you plan on spying on your competitor so I'm logged in right over here this is what it looks like when you're logged in almost the same I'm going to paste the domain name again only this time because i am logged in i'm going to be able to get all the data so i can see how much search volume how many keywords they're getting let's go to PPC keywords again just Bing and Yahoo now here's what's really cool if I want to copy my competitors keywords I can just select everything and click export and then I can export a by either Excel or text so I can actually export all the keywords in Excel and then when I make my being at I can copy their exact keywords so I want you to want something to keep in mind that I can see the search volume paid surveys at home is pretty good search volume a thousand and kind of see what their bidding and keep in mind these are exact keywords top paid surveys so you could put these in as either exact or phrase you would not need to do broad because you basically already have the data so with espionage you're actually bypassing the step of you know buying the data on your own so you know fifty nine dollars a month it can be well worth it especially spying on your competitors so we can go here and see all their ad copies they're using a ton of AD copies let's just scroll through briefly and see what apt copies they're doing now some of them are the same it looks like paid 35 dollars for surveys surveys for money okay so they make slight variations surveys for money make money on surveys just a lot of different ads one hundred percent free so you know they're getting a lot of traffic why else will they create a hundred and three apps so that's just a ton of different ads and it kind of shows you how relevant it is the most powerful one is at the top so as you can see the AEI which is add effectiveness index and then competitors so if you are doing more research we can go over to the competitors tab go to being in yahoo and i'm looking at SurveyMonkey let's just say i wanted to see what they were up to okay they're using let's go to PPC keywords they're advertising in Google and Bing so in Google's are using 15,000 keywords in being in yahoo they're using 4795 keywords 635 adds a lot of that same thing landing pages you can see all their ad copies and their landing pages it looks like they're using quite a few different styles and that's pretty normal right because there's a market or you're going to be split testing trying different things lots and lots of competition and let's go back over to Bing again so that you can see how powerful this tool is what this tool allows you to do it allows you to see one what your competitors are competitors are doing to it also allows you to export all the PPC data all the keywords that you're using you can export those and copy them right into your campaign so you can find out who your top competitors are we'll go back over here to being so let's just let's just go here to being and you can see they were tracking too because if you notice in the URL you saw the phrase that I that I was searching so if we go back and we type in weight loss and we want to see let's click on this one right here we can also check out with using our stupid guys are doing sometimes um so they're using an advertorial like we talked about in the previous video let's see if we can get any data from them now sometimes on smaller sites you may not be able to pull up data but let's try it okay and this is a good example this is either this is either new or advertiser or they haven't advertised enough for any data to be available so there's really nothing showing typically a scene oz will work on bigger searches or bigger sites like survey sites this is obviously probably an affiliate like you or I you and I and as you can see they're just advertising this product so these advertorial pages you're going to see these a lot you're going to want to get really really good at these you're going to want to learn how to build these out and once you build these out there's really nothing different as far as setting up the campaign as I showed you previously and being other than you know your affiliate links are going to be you know scattered throughout as you can see they put the link and they reference it a lot just about every every every time you scroll down you're going to see a bunch of links and then of course they use the fake testimonials so that's how you use this fee not just the basic overview of it there's a lot of great features here and it's a great tool for spying on your competitors you just put the domain in there try it out try using it for free just get just just to test it out if you don't want to do the paid version at this time you know put in a couple domains see if you like it and this is something that i use personally in PPC and it's one of the ways that i'm able to gather so much data and I'm also able to gather what my competitors are doing so when I come over to being PPC I can apply those to my campaigns so hope you enjoy and I'll see in the next video
