when I started out I had two resources my laptop which I could use to edit videos and secondly this my old phone which I used to record some of my basic YouTube content in a very amateur way I got my initial growth but I wanted more and I figured that if I wanted to grow to that higher level of success I needed to get out of my comfort zone if I was serious toward becoming a youtuber it was all about educating myself about the correct way of doing things but the real challenge was how would I buy my equipment I needed money to do that so right from day one had decided that I’d never borrow any money from my parents the moment I borrow money you become less serious about your business so I believe that every single guy in the world has this phase in his life where he’s going from being a boy to becoming a man when I was 22 I’d spent 10 years of my life on my playstation 3 with all my video games and that was a part of my boyhood also I needed the money really badly because I wanted that camera I wanted to do well on YouTube and I took a really tough call that day I figure out that I was gonna sell my playstation 3 and all my video games forget about that part of my life and look forward to the next phase of my life it got me about 7,000 rupees but it was a start the camera by itself was for about thirty-eight thousand but I still need a thirty one thousand rupees in order to reach that next stage towards becoming a YouTube [Music] so if I really wanted to make money it was about getting out into the real world once again turn to your resources run meet what are your resources your brain all the information you have and what’s the best thing you know Fitness I [Music] began training a bunch of people and this is what a typical day look like get up 10:00 a.m. shoot from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m. 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. edit the video around 4:00 p.m. go to the gym 5:30 lead from Dadar and go to unhear e which is the suburbs of bombay start training people at 6:30 9:00 p.m. break from training for wanna go on the road publicize about beer biceps 10:00 p.m. I train on my last client of the day get home at about 12:00 at 12:00 I’d come home I’d have a conversation with my friends with my family and the general tone of the conversation was why did you do engineering and then switch over to a career completely unrelated to that or I didn’t be protect Rainer one in life that’s when hate and doubts might get to you your job is to continuously fight it most people can stick to the normal routines of going for the regular job coming back studying for the MBA maybe it’s not easy for most people to choose a different path it’s not easy for most people to deal with all that hate and all that doubt and that’s where the winners survive [Music] now by this point on beer biceps the money I was making through personal training was good it was enough for me to afford about two hundred rupees per shoot if I wanted a camera person or an editor where you gonna find someone who’s talented who’s a hustler and who’s as passionate as you are about your project for just two hundred rupees per shoot this is where the next golden rule of life comes in a plain luck how lucky you are the amount of fortune you have isn’t really decided by you but what you get to decide is your integrity with your work how much of your heart are you putting into your work how hard are you working for it if you do all these things the universe will end up helping you and that’s something I truly believe in the universe helped me in the form of Rodgers the same person who’s recording this initially we met through a friend and I paid Rodgers for 200 rupees per shoot today Rodgers and me are heading a company we’re heading an organization together over time both our salaries from Bo Bice have increased a little bit eventually we figured that we’re working so well together and was so passionate about this project that we’re building that I considered quitting training keep in mind at this point I was earning good money through training and I was an established trainer in Bombay so I could have made a lot more money in training but my real passion was creating videos with a team so I ended up taking a huge pay card and at about 30,000 40,000 subscribers I moved into the next phase of my life [Music] at every single stage of your life but especially during your business career you’re gonna have a choice between following a conventional path and taking a risk at this point Rajas and me we were all about video creation we should put our two videos on Thursdays and Sundays and then we figured you know what we want to put on even more video content so let’s do something other than fitness content that’s my own Tuesdays we decided to put up something called life hacks videos these are videos about absolutely anything we wanted to talk about any idea that we wanted to put out there on the Internet and most of those life hacks videos failed now here’s the thing with taking risks every time you’re taking up a risk there is a possibility of you completely failing at what you’re going out to do and that’s also why most people don’t end up taking risks in the first place you need to remember that even if it means you’re gonna fail 9 times out of 10 for that one chance of success you need to be able to take those 900 failure risks that’s exactly what happened in our case most of our life hacks videos fail didn’t even cross 10000 views eventually when we failed so badly at knife acts we decided you know what let’s just give up but let’s try one last video where we talk about mens style men’s fashion if we recorded a super quick video in about one hour we put it up and that video ended up crossing 1 million views in a week it’s become a more successful beer biceps video of all time and very importantly it also gave us a future direction for the channel so everyone had this image of fitness youtubers if you’re a fitness you’d be worse stick to your fitness content we didn’t believe that we believe that take a risk see what happens if it fails that’s okay come back to doing fitness but at least try it [Music] today we’re a fitness and lifestyle channel and we’re at about 600,000 subscribers six months back when we put our first fashion video we had about 100k subs we’ve had exponential growth on YouTube and that only possible because we decided to take that risk but it’s not just growth on YouTube that’s been caused because of going in the lifestyle obviously we’ve made a little extra money as well bloggers earn most of the money through branding when we tie up with brands for YouTube or Instagram and once we stepped into lifestyle that opened up a world of branding opportunities that’s made it possible for us to have our own office today we are a team now and that’s also where the final rule of life comes into play in my opinion the final and most important golden rule is that at every stage you need to be thankful you need to have gratitude in your heart thank your team thank your universe but most importantly thank the people we’ve made this possible that’s you guys that’s why I keep thanking y’all at every stage I’ll tell you why you remember that PlayStation 3 I sold in order to get that camera in the first place recently with this money that we bought on beer biceps I bought myself a PlayStation 4 I’m reconnecting with my childhood yes I spoke about going from being a boy to being a man but once you’ve accomplished a little bit in your life I feel sometimes you need to take a step back turn around figure that you’ve worked hard to reach this point and then enjoy yourself a little bit smile sometimes while you’re happy also show your gratitude to the universe enjoy yourself if you don’t have fun doing all this then the journey is probably not worth it in my opinion anyway guys that was a video today the reason I made a video like this is because this is
