so before we can buy media we need to get some banners ready right you know what's cool about this is this is the kind of stuff you can apply to anything whether it's online business offline business you know if you're an affiliate if you promoting your own stuff if you're building a team as a network marketer it doesn't matter what you're doing out there you can do this you know pretty much with where you can go to create some banners how do you get banners all that stuff alright so how do you create banners well it depends on what you're promoting okay so let's say if you are someone who is promoting somebody else's product as an affiliate for example right well most of the time you're the product creator or you know vendor to the product vendor they'll typically provide you with some banners right now there is two big problems that I see with that all right number one is most of the time now not all the time but most of the time those banners look like crap me and they just look like you know very amateur and just like sometimes it is ridiculous looking right you know a lot of times vendors just slap them together you know last minute before they launch a product and just to kind of say yeah we got the banner you know but the banners are not very attractive you know they are not you know designed to convert and get you click through all right now not all the time but you know most of the time another big problem with that is if the product you are promoting as an affiliate is a popular product right and it's got a lot of competition well chances are there's probably a lot of other affiliates promoting that product and there's also probably a lot of affiliates promoting the same banner right that's provided by the product vendor well I don't want to do that I want my stuff to stand out and what my landing pages to stand out I want my sites to stand out right I want my banners to stand out I want my promotions to stand out head and shoulders above the rest of the people so that I can have you know I can position myself uniquely out there in the marketplace does that make sense all right so that's one of the options least in fact one okay now if you are a designer you can also obviously of course you know do it yourself you can create banners yourself not a problem if you know how to do that I don't know how to do that so I will go to either do a you know not fire freelance or hire freelance my goodness see that's what happens when having too much fun here um scratch that fire and let that say hire alright you can hire a freelancer you can go the sides like guru comm or Elance comm or oDesk or fiverr.com yeah that's even like five or think about it for like five dollars if you go to fiverr.com for five dollars you can have somebody create banners for you and most you know almost all the time they'll look better than a lot of the banners you will get from the product vendor okay that you're promoting but again if you're promoting your own stuff you know your own products your own business then obviously you know you'll need to hire somebody or do it yourself my favorite place where I personally go to get banners created is a site called $20 banners calm I've been you know getting my banners from them for years now really really cool people they got awesome customer support and and they understand marketing you know they they can get your banners created within 24 hours and it's pretty cool stuff alright I'm in a minute here I'm actually gonna take you through the website and show you some things the banner creation tips okay let me let me give you a couple tips about creating banners that I found to be useful for me alright tip number one is minimum animation alright if you are if your banner if you go too crazy with you know whole bunch of arrows flying around on your banner and just too much flash on your banner as well that is going to backfire most of the time okay from what I've found and also a lot of sites a lot of networks will not even accept a banner that is too flashy or too animated okay so just gonna keep that you know if you're gonna have an animation maybe an arrow you know flash in every every so often you know but nothing too crazy okay I found that if you have arrows pointing to a direct call to action you know click here button or you know read this report button or you know like a direct call to action on the banner that increases click throughs on banners okay a lot of times if you have subtle arrows like where it's not like a like an actual you know apparent arrow but sometimes you know designers can create those subtle arrows to where you know even your conscious mind sometimes doesn't pick those up but your your unconscious mind picks that up that I found to be working really really well for click-throughs as well a lot of times if you're promoting something and let's say if you want to go and promote on like new sites for example right well what I found is if you just have a banner that looks like a text like like like you know like an article you know almost like an article right to where people can get a little bit of an expert and then and then they can click you know to read or continue right or you know get full story or something like that right that's your call to action and it's just all text I mean there was no images there is nothing right you have a very very catchy you know text on there right talking about whatever you know your product is or whatever the actual you know hook is for your for what you're promoting that can work really really well okay another thing is is just look model what's working all right how do you do that go to huffington post calm go to weather.com go to cnn.com s NB c– dot-com and we just go to sites that charge a lot of money to place a banner on all right and take a look at what kind of banners people running on those sites right what kind of offers and model all right study banners i don't want to give you specific examples okay and say it okay here's how your banner should look like because you know what i have no idea what you're promoting i have no idea you know where you gonna apply this information and this training too okay but here's what i can tell you i want you to become an independent marker i want you to dig your all well as a marketer right and I want you to be strategic and just kind of you know what just think outside the box a little bit right again if you go to advertise on cnn.com it's gonna cost you a lot of money right so if I go to cnn.com for example and I take a look at you know what kind of banners people run there or like whether comm right and if I see banners running you know day in day out well that tells me that the banner is probably pulling some conversions right otherwise why would somebody pay money if the banner would not convert right so I will study the banner I will study the elements on the banner and I'll see all right how can i model that for my business make sense all right so let me take you online right now like for example we jump over to oDesk okay oh that's calm and if we just type in banner design okay banner design you check it out we have take a look ten thousand four hundred and seventy seven freelancers waiting for your business okay now banner creation should never be an issue for you my friend alright we jump you're gonna get banners from these people I recommend you go with either marketers pack here it's twenty four sixty per banner right and this entire package is gonna cost you $197 okay now if you got the money go for it Pro pack is actually even better you know it's it's 247 but they give you ten times the number of banners but most of the time I found if you just stick with the marketers pack you know they give you sizes that's pretty much Universal for you know all the networks out there 200 by 200 250 by 250 you know 300 by 250 pretty very popular 336 by 280 all these sizes are very very popular for marketers guys like me guys like you right and for the network so and this is Google ready Google friendly they understand see what's cool about twenty dollar banners is that these people understand marketing so what you can do is you can actually give them a call or contact them or email them and just say hey I am promoting this offer right here can you help me design a cool-looking banner can you help me design a banner that would get me you know high convergence or high click throughs on that and if you're somebody who's brand new if you don't know what to put on the banner okay which by the way what do you put on a banner well you put on banner you know what what is what is your hook you think about it as like creating your landing pages so your and your your whole purpose for the banner okay is to get people's attention and to get them to click on your banner that's it okay that's all you need to do that's all you're concerned about is how do I get that visitor how did I get that that that person who is on that website to click my banner that's it okay as long as I clicked on your banner they got redirected to your you know landing page and then the landing page takes over from there but the banner is designed to get the click that's it all right so what are you promoting take a look at what you're promoting and take a look at what's the benefit of the thing that you're promoting what is it gonna do for people right and how do you what's the main hook of what you're promoting okay and that's what you put in your banner that make sense so if you're promoting him you know how to you you know if you're promoting you know some some you know a network marketing company for example right and you know and and you know and and you're targeting people who are looking for a way to to generate income well your hook might be you know here is how to start making money in as soon as 24 hours from now you know something something like that you know but
